Chapter 52: A Common Interest

Sheila's POV

"You are the worst!" Andrew shouted.

We all stared at him in surprise as Andrew, who was normally so calm and closed in, shove Rain away.

"I'm going to go," he said. "I don't want to talk to you Rain, okay? Not now."

Andrew walked away, swearing out loud.

Rain looked confused which caused me to facepalm.

I thought about Shizuku, the thirteen year old that I had grown fond of over a short period of time.

Oh right, I wanted to ask something but to do so, I need to talk to a certain someone.

Hopefully he'll be willing to talk.

I turned around to follow where my friend had recently just left.

On my way, I saw Nina and Jun walking away.

I didn't think anything of it. I mean, it wasn't too surprising to see people walk around.

"Andrew!" I shouted. "Wait up!"

Andrew stopped and waited for me to catch up.

"Hey uh, I want to say that I'm sorry for what happened." I said, awkwardly.

"It's not your fault," Andrew grumbled. "It's Alpha Bitch's fault."

I choked.

"Anyways, I wanted to ask you something." I said.

Andrew nodded, encouraging me to continue.

"How was it like raising your sister?" I asked.

Andrew cracked a small smile. "Depends how you see it," he replied. 

"Was she a challenge?" I asked, remembering how much of a deadpan snarker she was. "Like I know she's pretty fierce and snarky."

Andrew laughed. "She couldn't even kill an ant when we were little!" He exclaimed. "You really teach some bad habits, Sheila."

"What?" I asked. "Meeps was already like that before I met her!"

Andrew nodded. "So why are you asking all these questions?"

Silence.

I had already asked Ryan this, and he said he was okay with it.

But for me, this idea sent shivers down my spine. Both thrilled and anxious.

And I didn't want to tell the whole world, not yet.

But Andrew... Meeps once told me that he can keep any secret.

So, I'll guess I'll just have to trust her judgement.

And Andrew himself.

"I'm thinking about adopting Shizuku," I said.
