Chapter 22: Domino Effect

Moon's POV

Today I believe I have made a fatal mistake by lying to my friend...

It all started when I decided to talk to Stella and knock some sense to her.

I had asked for her, saying that I only wanted to chat alone.

There was a brief moment of silence until she agreed and appeared.

"How are you feeling?" I asked.

"Mad," she replied. "At Lance,"

I wasn't sure who Lance was, but I decided not to ask.

"Why did you exile Rain from the End?" I asked.

"I'm planning to let him back in," she said. "This is only to teach him a lesson."

"Yeah right," Rain said. "You End Leaders are all the same."

Stella gave me a look of betrayal.

"You said you would talk to me alone," she said.

I flinched because I had lied to her.

"What the fuck?" Stella sighed. "Let me live in peace."

"But I wanted to-"

"Stop making it all about you, Moon!" She yelled. "How would you feel if I tricked you like that?"

I sighed with sadness, knowing that Stella was right.

Then Stella turned to Rain. "Don't mock Ceris like that again," she warned.

"Or what?!" Rain asked, punching Stella. "You'll exile me?"

People in the Heavens can die, they'll respawn, but they can still die.

"RAIN!" I shouted.

But Rain was no longer listening.

He kept beating Stella up who began screaming and telling him to stop.

"Rain! Stop please! Cut it out!" She yelled.

I watched as Rain punched Stella for a final time, unaware of what was below her.

Lava.

Stella lost her balance and fell in, disappearing in the lava.

I stared at the pool of lava in horror.

"Oh my god! You killed her!" I screamed.

"She's already dead," Rain said nonchalantly. "She'll respawn back in Heaven in no time."

"T-that's not the point!" I yelled.

"Look, I didn't think she'd die like that," Rain said. "But look! Stella will be fine! I mean, she'll forgive us, right?"

I wish it was that simple... but I don't think that this is going to be something that Stella will shrug off like it's no big deal.
