This is Cari's updated skin, yes I was able to do the eyes... sorta. I mean, this time I didn't use copy and paste on Google Slides!

Ember's POV

"You've rushed into battle too many times," Patrick told me.

I stared at him, my face blank.

"What?" I asked him.

"You know what I mean!" He snapped. "You rush into battle, and you end up almost dying!"

"Okay, well that makes more sense," I deadpanned.

Patrick opened his mouth, most likely to tell me to shut up when someone tap my foot.

I looked around, confused, was there a rat?

Then I looked down, to see a young girl, maybe the same age as Meeps, however she was pale and shaking, probably from the code, despite wearing a jacket. And her face bore almost no expression, which unnerved me.

"What?" I asked.

"How did you get in here?" Patrick screamed.

"You left the door open," she deadpanned, or at least I think she was... her voice didn't change pitch at all.

"FUCK!"

"Language!"

"Never mind," she said. "My name is Cari and my friend Alan and I met your friends, the rebel princess and the criminal boy."

Sheila and Alex.

"Yeah, they're pretty violent... especially Sheila," I admitted.

Cari nodded. "I'm not really someone who likes fighting," she said. "Just sit back, grab a book and read, right? It's safer on so many levels."

"You sound like my girlfriend," I commented.

Patrick still looked pretty pissed off that he had left the door open, and therefore, accidentally gave Cari access to this room.

"Alan asked me several times why I'm not like the rest of family? Warriors and fighters..." the girl continued.

"Of course you're not like your family," Patrick snapped. "You're adopted."

The young girl stopped and stared at him with her blunt expression. "I am adopted," she spat.

Oh shit, I thought as Patrick gulped. He fucked up.

"Anyways, two of your citizens disappeared," she said. "A gray women and a young man with two different colored eyes."

Wait! That sounds like...

"Fucking idiots!" Patrick shouted, getting up.

"Language!"

Patrick looked even more pissed off. "Where's my fucking helmet?!" He asked.

"Over there," Cari deadpanned. "Next to your regular one."

"My what?"

"Never mind," she said, and something told me that if she could show her expression, she could.

She would be a tough opponent to beat during a game of poker.

Ember, shut up! She's only sixteen. You can't take her to a casino to go gambling, that's illegal.

"FUCKING TEENAGERS! SOMEBODY GET THOSE TWO JUVENILE DELIQUENTS OVER HERE RIGHT NOW SO I CAN WHACK THEIR ASSES!"

As I watched this transpire, I shook my head, combing my unkempt brown hair.

Patrick always complains about me rushing off. Who knew that Rain and Ciara would be just as bad... no matter how much they try to not act like me.
