"Loki, tell Thor where your father is."

"I'm not telling him anything."

I rubbed my face, completely exasperated by the two men. We were sat at a table with Loki and Thor facing each other and me at the end, playing my role as mediator. Since the moment Loki revealed himself, they began bickering and shoving each other nearly every two seconds.

"There's no chance of you just leaving, right?" I sighed looking towards Thor.

The big brute crossed his arms, "No."

"Well, that's really too bad," Loki said with an eye roll, "I was doing perfectly fine as ruler of Asgard! I have brought prosperity to this land and have given them an heir! You have done no more than parade around the cosmos playing hero."

"Perfectly fine? You say that all of our enemies plotting against us is perfectly fine?" Thor repeated.

Loki scoffed, "The ONE time we have some political turmoil in five years of my rule and you think it's appropriate to just drop by and mess EVERYTHING up? I'm working on it, Thor!"

Thor hit the table with a hard fist and proceeded to say, "Me dropping by is not messing everything up! You're too busy playing house to truly serve Asgard. You say you provided an heir? There will be no Asgard left for her to rule! You fill her heads with delusions just like father filled yours! She'll be just as entitled and bratty as you!"

I pursed my lips and waited for Loki's reaction. Thor, of course, had no clue what he was talking about. But, Loki could take all the teasing and taunting his brother threw at him but making a comment about Hela was going to touch a nerve.

Loki flew out of his seat and sent Thor's chair flying with a shot of magic.

"Choose your next words very carefully," Loki warned as he glared at his brother, "Insult me all you want, brother, I can take it. But don't you ever say a word about my family."

My husband cocked his head and smiled, grinning maliciously as he looked at his brother.

"Talk about my daughter ever again and I will stop at no means to make sure you are dead and forgotten," Loki said before straightening out his posture and extending a hand to Thor who now sat on the floor, "Capiche?"

Thor glared at him, taking Loki's hand and standing up. Once back on his two feet her turned me and said, "Forgive me, Sigyn. I meant no insult to your daughter. She seems like a smart girl, thanks to you no doubt. What did you say her name was?"

"No offense taken," I assured him with a sigh, "Her name is Hela."

He nodded, "She's quite cute."

"Thank you," I said politely. Loki was still shooting daggers at Thor with his glaring.

"I'm going to ask you to leave, one more time,"  Loki said, crossing his arms, "Please le-"

"No," Thor said stubbornly.

Loki yelled out in frustration and turned to me.

"He's insufferable. I can't stand him," he said as he dramatically stomped towards me, "How did I ever survive living with him?"

I couldn't help but laugh, "You're fine Loki. You're letting him get under your skin."

"He's-" Loki began before I shot him a look that said just drop it.

He gritted his teeth and rolled his eyes before turning back to his brother.

"I'll bring you to Father but I'm not leaving for another two days," Loki bargained, "I have to get things in order here beforehand."

"Fine," Thor said begrudgingly, outstretching his hand, "Do we have a deal?"

Loki took his hand and shook it, "Deal."

Swiftly, Thor judo flipped Loki, pulling his hand up and over himself to end with my husband hitting the ground with a harsh thud.

I quickly got up and went to Loki's side, smacking Thor as I did.

"You stupid boys," I scolded them, "You two can't be nice to each other for even a second?"

"He started it," Loki whined, clutching his side as he sat up.

"You walked right into that," Thor argued.

I rolled my eyes, "Alright, that's it for tonight," I said, helping Loki up, "Time for bed. Good night, Thor."

"No, I'm not finished," Thor began.

"Goodnight, Thor," I repeated as I began to walk out with Loki.

Loki smirk, looking over my shoulder with a smug expression as we left Thor behind.

Seeing them interact with each other made me very glad that I did not have a son.

As we walked to our chamber I asked, "Do you actually know where Odin is? Or were you lying?"

"I have no clue," he admitted, "I left him in Midgard. Hopefully, he's right where I left him."

"Great," I said sarcastically. I couldn't help but laugh, "I'm sure Thor's going to be very happy to hear that."

"I don't mind," he said with a shrug, "Worst-case scenario I just abandon Thor in Midgard too."

"I think you ought to come up with a better plan than that," I said as he pushed the door open to our chambers.

"That's what the two days are for," he explained with a smirk, "Gives me all the time I need to figure that out and spend as much time with you and Hela before I go."

"How thoughtful of you," I said, chuckling.

Loki always had a plan. Whether or not they worked out was beyond his control but regardless of the situation, I knew my husband would have some grand scheme in the works. They were always dramatic, involved illusions of some kind, and ended with him getting the upper hand. He claimed they were always foolproof. (They weren't).

That night, as I laid in his arms and began to drift off to sleep I wondered how he would pull all of this off. He could outsmart most people but Thor was rarely tricked by Loki. His brother could see right through his illusions and mischief and often called him out for it. With this in mind, I was curious to see how Loki would fool Thor. I wondered if he would even attempt it. Maybe, for once, the two brothers would actually work together for Asgard's sake. But, only time would tell.
