"Y/N, baby? Are you still sleeping?" Rosie softly spoke as she tiptoed over to your side of the bed.

She turned on the lamp that was on your nightstand and you stirred a little over the sudden brightness, but you didn't open your eyes.

Rosie's eyes turned soft upon seeing you sleeping soundly.

Curled up on your side, you were wearing her shirt.

You had the blanket over you but it was only to your waist, so it wasn't covering your entire body.

She knows that's because you get too hot right now otherwise.

She's been worried about you all day. She wanted more than anything to stay home and take care of you again today. But she's managed to get out of a few things these last couple of days and she couldn't anymore, so she had no choice but to spend the day busy and away from you.

You stayed on her mind the entire time though. She tried texting you throughout the day but you only replied a couple of times and she knows that's because you must be sleeping.

You're so fatigued these days, you barely have the energy to do much of anything on your own.

That and the terrible nausea and vomiting you have, as well as the fact that you have intense headaches, hot flashes, and your moods are all over the place - she figured you have the flu and it's making you feel so terrible that you just can't control your moods anymore, amongst other things.

She was tired but her only priority was checking up on you right now.

Laying her hand on your forehead, she felt around before shaking her head with a sigh.

You weren't feverish whatsoever.

That's a worry that keeps lingering in her brain.

If you have the flu, or whatever else could be making you feel so terribly ill, wouldn't you also run a fever? Even just a slight one?

Yet, your skin has been cool to the touch. There's been no sign of a fever, not even a tiny hint of one, and that's worrying for her.

"Y/N? Baby, can you open your eyes for me?"

She brushed her fingers across your arm and you opened your eyes, slowly meeting hers.

"There's my pretty girl." She smiled. "How do you feel?"

"Tired." You mumbled.

"Anything else? Have you thrown up at all since I left?"

She left about six am, so she knew the answer was most likely yes.

It didn't surprise her at all when she watched you nod your head.

"Maybe I should take you to the doctors," she suggested as she rubbed your cheek softly.

You could only close your eyes as they became too heavy to keep open any longer.

"We'll talk about it in the morning, I guess. I love you very much. Sleep tight." She said and kissed your forehead before turning the lamp off.

She walked into the bathroom after grabbing some pajamas and she took her hair down from the ponytail she pulled it up in early this morning. She thought about taking a quick shower, thinking she could use one after the day she had, and then she'd curl up in bed with you after and get some rest.

But as she set her clothes down on the counter, she accidentally knocked something over.

She bent down to pick it up and when she realized what it was, she froze.

It was a pregnancy test.

A positive one.

She felt tears well up in her eyes and she sat on the hardwood floor, so shocked that if she hadn't been sitting she would've fallen to her knees.

She couldn't believe it. It felt so surreal.

Of course you were pregnant. It all made sense now.

Everything you've been dealing with for the last few days all adds up.

She couldn't help but grin through her tears.

This is what you've been wanting together for so long; a family.

It's been something you've talked about many times before and it was only a few weeks ago that you decided that now was the time to make it happen since you recently tied the knot.

It was a long couple of days as you both went in for tests and had to think about what direction you wanted to go in.

But it didn't take long for you to agree on what felt right.

Your chances were high but it wasn't promised that the options available to you would work successfully, so you and Rosie did have your fears and doubts.

But now, those were all gone as Rosie stared at the positive test in her hand.

It was real.

It was all finally happening.

You were finally starting your family together.

She jumped up and ran out of the bathroom to get to you.

"Y/N! Wake up, wake up!"

"Rosie, you already woke me up once. I'm tired and I don't feel good." You groaned as you opened your eyes.

"Yes, but I found this on the bathroom counter and I had to come and talk to you about it. You're pregnant!? Seriously?"

"Yeah," you sad as you rubbed the sleep from your eyes.

"And you didn't tell me?"

"I didn't feel good. I just wanted to sleep. I knew you'd be home sooner or later and I planned to tell you the news as soon as you walked inside but I'm just so tired."

"I get it, my love." She smiled as she took your hand, giving it a squeeze.

"We're going to be parents, Rosie..." You said as it sank in.

"We are. Finally."

She opened her arms and you moved into them, putting your arms around her neck.

She didn't hug you too tight, both because she knew you weren't feeling well and because she didn't want to take any chances of hurting you or the baby.

"I knew if this day came, it would be such a joyous moment as we bask in the realization together but it's even more magical than I thought." She said. "It's amazing. I can't remember the last time I felt this way... happy; so happy."

"Same here." You said as you looked into her big brown eyes. "I love you."

"I love you, y/n." She smiled before kissing your lips a few times. "And I love our baby. So very much."

She put her hand on your stomach and you put your hand over hers.

There was still no sign of a bump, since you're not that far along, obviously.

But it didn't matter.

Your baby was in there and Rosie couldn't help but keep her hand there as she spoke to them and kissed your stomach, swearing to them that you'd be the best moms that they could dream of.
