Episode- 37

            The next morning in the royal court,

             The royal court was filled with ministers and guards… King Lionel was on his throne, and Queen was on her seat looking the prisoner on their knees… Adrian was sitting on his place as his eye were fixed on Estella…

   Estella, Tristan, and other prisoners were on their knees…. Their hands were tied up, and dirty clothing were still on their body… she was in a state where he had never thought before… but she caused it.. and he himself will be the person to take her to her end.. he decided this even though this kills him, he will be stern to his decision.. there is nothing more important than his and his father’s justice right now..

     Adrian was controlling himself from taking her to him…. she had her head down without a glance at him.. but he had his on her,,, he said to himself, “I will not forgive just because I love you…. you are responsible for killing my father… I gave you a chance, but you still ran away… I will not save you….” His tight grip on his feast showed how frustrated he was… like he wanted to end this right now..

   One of the ministers asked, “Prince Adrian, we would like to know your opinion before his majesty makes any decision….”

   Adrian got up and looked at Estella then turned his face to King Lionel, “I would be in support of any decision his majesty make but I surely wish for punishment that everyone can remember… so no one would go against the King…” Estella had a glance at Adrian, she said to herself, “Do you hate me that much?” she was observing him with her slightly blur vision

    Adrian took his seat, King Lionel thought for a moment and asked Estella, “Estella…. Do you regret your actions?... are you sorry for your actions… if you are you may get some mercy…” Adrian said to himself as he looked at her, “Beg for mercy, Estella… beg for your life….” he saw her light movement.. .

    Estella raised her head to see King Lionel, “I regret nothing… I am sorry for nothing…” she noticed Adrian’s feast tightening…. He diverted his gaze… The whole assembly was shocked by those words….

    King Lionel looked at her for a moment and said, “The main culprit for my father, King Edmund’s death was Nicolai… he is dead as he paid for his sin…. These prisoners just played small role in Nicolai’s plan… I order, Tristan and other prisoners to be lifetime slave under my foot forever… there life would be in my hand as my slaves,, no one can oppose if I hit them, starve them or kill them…. Before that, they have to take 50 beating each….” Estella’s eyes widen, she looked at Tristan… death was better than being slave…. But Tristan was not showing any expression as he stood strong to his own destiny..

       King Lionel spoke further, “And Estella…. You are illegitimate daughter of King Hames… just because you are half noble and a women, I will show a little mercy on you…. I order Estella to be slave and mistress of My brother Adrian for her life time… her life and death would be in Prince Adrian’s hand…” Estella looked at King Lionel with wide teary eyes, Tristan was just looking at Estella as he was not able to believe what he heard… he was about to lose her…..

         Adrian was shocked by the judgment so were ministers, most of them excepting the punishment to me more cruel… King Lionel said again, “This all started because of our wrong decision of killing King Hames and his family…. The culprit was King Hames so he should have be the one to get punished but father ended up killing the entire family even the youngest child…. But I will not repeat the same mistake, Nicolai the main culprit is dead so there is no point in killing others….” Estella shakes her head in light ‘no’.. she wanted to scram “NO!” but her words disappeared in her own throat…

   One of the minister said, “I agree with your words… you are wise… I am satisfied on your judgment, you showed there is place for kindness in the world……: Your majesty” soon after that everyone agreed to King Lionel’s decision… only Adrian remain silent…. He was in his own words as his anger was trying to break free his control…

    Lionel turned his attention to Adrian and said, “Prince Adrian… I am really proud of your work and dedication for kingdom and I would like to appreciate it… if you accept my orders…”

   Adrian just answered, “Your orders will be my duty… your majesty”

   Lionel smiled and said, “Mister Powell, declare in kingdom and overseas… Prince Adrian would be the new king of Ceellador… and the throne of Ceellador would be always pass to King Adrian’s heirs and their heir after him…”

    Adrian was looking Lionel with eyes wide open in disagreement, he never wanted the throne… he wanted to stay  near his brother forever,,, Lionel understands Adrian’s feeling but he made a decision… he was going to follow it…

     King Lionel asked, “Prince Adrian, I hope you agree to my decision… these lands are vast and so is Ceellador…. Ceellador deserves a new king….”

    Adrian noticed everyone in the court agreed with King Lionel and he said, “I will follow whatever you say my King…”

     Soon, the court was empty, and the prisoners were sent to their sell…. Adrian and Lionel were the only ones to be standing  in the huge courtroom..
  Lionel asked, “Adrian you want to say something?”

    Adrian looked at his brother and said, “I am not happy with both of your decisions even though I will follow your orders…”
