storybrooke, four years after the final battle

"Emma, it's just one date, what's the worst that could happen?" Katherine asked.

"I could end up really liking him," Emma said.

Katherine laughed, shaking her head. "Don't tell me the Savior is afraid of falling in love."

"I'm afraid of getting hurt," Emma said.

"I get that. But Emma, Henry is growing up. He's 18 now and I know you can see how restless he is. Eventually he's gonna want to go off on his own. You need to start living your own life again" she said.

Emma smiled as she looked around. "You mean like you?"

It was Rosemary's fourth birthday and the park had been completely transformed. Katherine and Killian spoiled the hell out of their daughter so when she said she wanted a winter wonderland-themed party in the middle of summer they made it happen.

Using her magic, Katherine got it to snow at the park and decorated the place with a candy bar, an actual bar for the adults, and more food than they knew what to do with. She looked over at Killian helping Rosemary put a carrot in a snowman's head and smiled.

"Yes, like me. You can be so happy, Emma. Flynn, is a really nice guy" Katherine said.

"He's a thief" Emma laughed.

"A former thief, okay! He returned the crown. Eventually" Katherine said. "Just say you'll go?"

Emma just sighed. "I'll think about it."

Courtney walked out of her room, about to head out when she saw Jacinda sitting on the couch, a heartbroken look on her face.

"Hey. Everything okay?" she asked.

Jacinda just sighed, tears in her eyes as she showed her the letter she was reading.

"That from Lucy?" Courtney asked, sitting next to her.

"Yeah. I miss her so much my heart hurts" Jacinda said.

Courtney bit her lip, knowing that feeling all too well.

"Ever since Victoria took her away we've been writing letters and leaving them in the well at the community garden so she won't know," Jacinda said.

"Hey. Everything is gonna work out. Victoria can't keep you two apart forever" Courtney said as her phone dinged and she saw the text from Roni. "I have to get to work but I promise we'll figure this out, okay?"

"I don't know. Maybe she's right. Maybe I am cursed" Jacinda sighed.

"Yeah well if you're cursed then I'm definelty cursed" Courtney mumbled.

When she got to the bar she pulled out her key to let herself in.

"Hey," Roni said, seeing her walk in. "Henry and our one handed detective are already here."

Katherine walked over to the booth they were all sitting at and noticed the pink box sitting on the table. "What's this?"

"Well I wasn't sure what was appropriate for a gathering like this, so I picked up some donuts," Henry said.

"Good thinking, attack Belfrey where it hurts most. Carbs" Courtney teased.

"Much appreciated, mate. And you'll excuse Courtney, she's a bit ornery" Rogers said.

"You've gotta stop flirting with me, Detective or people'll think you have a crush" she smirked.
