"I'm lost. What are we doing?" Roman asked as he stumblingly followed Virgil down this street.

"You mentioned that you wanted to experience love and all that bullshit." Roman whined softly making Virgil sigh and nod. "Sorry. I meant to say that you wanted to know what it was like so... I thought I would try to set you up with someone to see if those... sparks... fly."

"I don't understand."

"Basically, You and this guy I know, Kia, are going to spend some time together at the cafe just talking and hanging out." Roman nodded as Virgil gestured for the other to just follow. "I figured that now since that haze has gone and you can be without me again, it would be a good time to start."

"When is this happening-..."

"Hi." Roman jumped suddenly noticing the person who they had literally walked up to. The boy laughed softly, covering his mouth to hide the smile he had.

"Roman... this is Kai." Roman just stood there stunned in his spot as the other boy just laughed a bit more. Roman had to admit... he was very cute. He had soft red hair that curled gently against his forehead like one of those Disney princes Roman had learned about recently. He had soft blue eyes that made Roman think of a clear spring sky. That soft subtle blush on the other light freckled cheeks just made Roman blank a bit. Virgil rolled his eyes slightly seeing the very obvious gay panic the other had before nudging Roman enough to jar him out of his thoughts.

"Oh... Uh... Right." Roman held his hand out with a sheepish smile letting Kai take it. "Roman Black. It's nice to meet you."

"Likewise. Virgil's told me a lot about you." Roman quirked a brow at him in response only making Kai chuckle softly. "Don't worry. It's nothing bad. Although he did inform me this would be your first date... so don't worry about anything. I promise I won't judge you at all."

"Oh, well thank you, I guess?" Roman scratched the back of his neck as the two just laughed shaking their heads.

"Go on you two." Roman's eyes shot wide as Virgil started to walk backwards. "Have fun and let me know how it turns out ok?"

"Wait, where..."

"Go, Roman." Virgil teased as he cut the demon off, before flashing him a very soft reassuring smile. "Relax, and have fun."

"Let's get inside, ok?" Kai asked softly as Roman just watched as Virgil walked off.

"What? Oh, right. Yes..." Roman smiled as he nodded. "Let's go."

"Is there anything you want or..." Roman's eyes scanned the board as he shrugged.

"I guess a black coffee? Maybe a chocolate donut." Kai smiled as he nodded as got in line. "Should I get us a spot or..."

"Yeah, go right ahead. I've got this."

"You sure? I can pay." Kai just laughed as he waved Roman off. "Ok. If you're certain." Roman found a little spot off in the corner as he ran his hands through his hair. His leg was bouncing as his nerves ate at him. He really was out of his element and he had no idea why Virgil had to leave him alone with a total stranger... not that Roman has any real issue with strangers... he just didn't like that Virgil left... he guessed anyway. "He said have fun." Roman groaned as he looked out the window with a slight frown. "He said relax... and have fun." Roman shivered subtly over the memory of the command running through his mind. The haze may have died down and Roman may be able to hold himself back... but the urge to still obey his commands is still there. It's not like the symptoms ever go away their just easier to ignore.

"Here you go." Roman jumped only to laugh at himself as Kai chuckled over the response. "Didn't mean to startle you."

"It's ok. I was just lost in thought." Roman smiled as he took the coffee, sighing as he took a sip. "So, Kai... Help me out here... what are we supposed to be doing on a date?"

"Well, first dates are typically about just getting to know each other." Roman's smile grew a bit as he nodded and just watched the other as he stirred his hot chocolate.

"I would like that." Roman lulled softly making Kai blush a bit with a slight nod.

Virgil was just sitting there staring at the clock. He had expected Roman or Kai to call him to inform him how their date went... Not for Roman to suddenly teleport into his room, flushed and smiling, literally HOURS later just giggling away.

"Ah!" Roman squealed as he jumped onto the bed and just laughed as Virgil stared down at him with a quirk of his brow. "I don't know if that's how a date is supposed to go but... I really enjoyed it."

"Oh." Virgil swallowed the pit that for some reason had been growing the entire time he had been just sitting there waiting. "I'm glad, Ro. What did you two do?"

"Well at first we just talked. I asked him what his wish would be and he said to open an animal rescue." Roman squealed again kicking his feet as he laughed. "He's got a light about him I'd imagine an angel would have."

"Sounds like you're already crushing." Virgil's voice came out soft and hesitant as he laid himself down with Roman who just shrugged.

"I don't know what a crush is supposed to feel like. But he is really nice... After coffee we went for a walk around the park... we found a puppy and he was so gentle with it while we waited for its owner." Roman sighed softly as he put his hands under his hand, relaxing into quiet. "He offered another date."

"Roman, that's great!" Roman's eyes lit up as he shot Virgil a curious look. "It is. Trust me. It means he enjoyed it too and wants to see where you guys can go from there."

"It does?" Virgil nodded seeing how Roman's smile grew even more making that pit grow in him. Regardless... He was happy for Roman and he wanted to see that smile more. "I'm glad. I really enjoyed hanging out with him."

"Guess I'm going to be seeing a lot more of him, aren't I?" Roman burst out laughing making Virgil melt slightly into it all. "You look happy, Ro."

"I guess I am." Roman eyes shimmered as he glanced over at the other, his expression filled with fondness. "Thank you, Virgil." Virgil's eyes darkened despite never dropping that smile as Roman slowly threaded his fingers through Virgil's.

"It's no problem at all, Roman. As long as your happy... than so am I."
