"I'm back." Roman mumbled as he walked into the large home. His eyes narrowed as he flicked his wrist making the door close shut. He just stood there for a few seconds lost in thought. He didn't understand what was happening to him. After he left Virgil, his chest had been hurting. Well, that's not an entirely accurate statement, as it had started hurting talking with the kid and that was the whole reason he had left him. His chest was heavy as if this weight just sat on top of it. He didn't understand what had caused it though either. Demons don't get sick so it couldn't have been that.

"Roman?" Roman smiled, or at least tried to, as this man quickly walked into the foyer and beamed. "How was your first day of school?"

"It was interesting, Thomas." Roman sighed as he shook his head and followed the man further into the house. He sat down at the kitchen table dropping his bag onto the floor as the other made some coffee. "Although, difficult. Virgil refused to talk to me and often yelled. This deal is going to be very hard to do if he's constantly pushing me away."

"I'm sure you'll get through to him eventually. Just the simple fact that your trying it this way proves you have a good heart." Roman frowned as his eyes started glowing red. He didn't have to keep his 'disguise' up here as they all knew what and who he really was.

"Thomas, I'm a demon. We don't have a... a 'heart' as you said. Just because my methods are a bit... different than others of my kind would do..." Thomas just smiled as he handed Roman a cup. "What?"

"You are correct, Roman. You are a demon. The same one that helped my ancestor obtain his... fortune and wealth. However, if I remember correctly all the stories we've been told about that demon... doesn't seem like you... does it?"

"What do you mean?" Roman frowned as Thomas sighed and shook his head.

"I was told that the demon responsible for our wealth was one of cruelty and unimaginable darkness. That for our wealth he would come back to take one of our children for whatever reason. And that's just our deal... My ancestors were very adamant hunters, hell bent on never letting you take any of us. Let's just say they dug into any and all history that you apart of." Roman's eyes darkened as his hands shook. "When you never came back they started to get a bit paranoid. My great grandfather however never believed in any of it. So even though my Aunt made sure we all knew I was never raised in it all."

"People really shouldn't dig into another past." Thomas frowned seeing how dazed Roman was. "They might not like what they find."

"Well, you are the most violent demon they've ever come crossed. I think they understood when they found out about Lady Kane, they realized just who they were mess... Roman." Thomas jumped as the cup fell out of Roman's hands. "Roman?"

"Yeah?" Roman smiled softly as his eyes slowly look down to see the cup broken on the floor. "I broke your cup."

"Roman, what happened?"

"What do you mean?" Thomas was clearly tense as Roman just stood there not even moving away from the spill. "I broke your cup. That's what happened. I'm sor... No. I'm not. I shouldn't say that unless I mean it. I don't really care about your cup."

"Roman, I don't care about the cup. It was a cheap knock off from dollar tree. I'm more concerned about the episode you just had." Roman frowned in confusion as he glanced down finally registering he was standing in spilled coffee.

"Oh, shit... uh, hold on." Roman waved his hand over the mess making it all vanish and fix the cup. He picked it up with a sigh before passing over and rolling his eyes. "There. Fixed it."

"Roman!"

"What?" The front door slammed shut making Thomas jump and drop the cup, once again breaking it and making Roman groan. "I'm not fixing it again."

"You didn't have to fix it the last time." Thomas muttered as he quickly walked out of the kitchen to find just who exactly was there. Roman just rolled his eyes, following him out.

"Hello-..." Thomas froze up with a big smile as he walked into the foyer to find a boy standing there with this beaming smile. His silvery-white hair was spiked back in a crazy way making his icy blue eyes pop against the bruised eyeshadow he had all around his eyes. "REMUS?! You're home."

"Yeah, I am penis Pop." Remus giggled as he dropped all his backs with a crazy smile. "So are you gonna hug me or..."

"Thomas, who is..." Remus jumped, face instant serious, as he pulled two twin squirt guns out of the holsters he had hidden under his leather jacket making Roman freeze up. "Shit." Roman's eyes flashed as he took a hesitant step back confusion Thomas who just looked between the two.

"Roman? Remus." Thomas groaned as he waved over at the other by the door trying to get his attention but Remus was too focused on Roman was still trying to put some distance between them. "Put the water guns down, Remus. Roman, what's wrong they're just..." Remus fired the water catching Roman on the cheek making the demon cry out in pain and Thomas just paled. "Oh shit. REMUS!" Roman growled at the pain as he turned away, hands shaking. "WHAT DID YOU DO?!"

"Get out demon bitch!" Thomas's eyes went wide as Remus put one of his guns away before pulling up his pant leg and grabbing an actual knife he had hidden. "Before I send you back to hell."

"Try it!" Roman whipped back around eyes glowing like actual fire, fang bared, as black smoke began to bellow up around him. "I'll rip you a..." Roman froze up unblinkingly as Remus just cackled.

"Remus Sanders!" Thomas jumped in front of the frozen demon as he glared over at his son. "I am only going to say this once... Put it down."

"He's a demon, Dad. He's probably THE demon. Are you really going to..." Remus shook his head as he walked over and pushed Thomas out the way only to freeze seeing the tears falling from Roman's face. "The fuck?" Roman frowned as he reached up to whip the tears away with a very confused expression.

"That's a first." Roman laughed as he wiped them all away only for more to streak down his face. "What the fuck is happening?"

"You're crying... Why the fuck are you crying?" Remus glared at him with confused anger as Roman just kept trying to wipe the tears away. "When do demons cry?!"

"Roman, are you ok?" Roman groaned in frustration as he just gestured that he didn't know, making Thomas frown.

"I have no idea what the hell is going on with me. This has never happened before. I don't like it. Make it stop!" Thomas pulled the demon into a hug making Roman tense up before melting into him and start sobbing. Remus just frowned as his father glared at him with a protective glint in his eyes.

"Put them away now, Remus." Remus just scoffed as he rolled his eyes and put his weapons back away.

"Whatever, just don't come crawling to me when that demon decided to eat your fucking soul." He pulled down his right sleeve, holding up his wrist and revealing a tattoo, as he shook his head. "He can't touch me... you on the other hand... I'd watch my back."
