"VIRGIL!" Roman yelled loudly as he suddenly let go of Kai's hand and slammed into Virgil who just laughed. "You came! You came!"

"Well... You made it impossible to refuse." Roman giggled lightly as he pulled away and smiled over at Kai who just nodded.

"Well, Roman had been feeling a bit down. And I would be lying if I didn't miss hanging out with you either." Virgil's eyes darkened a bit as he glanced between the two before giving Kai this apologetic look.

"And you're sure you're ok with this Kai? I would hate to barge in on a date."

"Virgil..." Roman whined as Kai just laughed shaking his head.

"No, I am completely fine with it. Although..." Kai teased as he pointed behind him at the rink. "I think we should head in and grab our skates."

"OH! Yes!" Roman giggled as he practically dragged Virgil in with him, leaving Kai standing there with a small smile over the two's antics. "Wait, where do we get skates? Also..." Roman suddenly stopped as he glanced back at Virgil with a curious frown. "WHAT are skates?"

"Oh my lord." Virgil laughed as he pointed over at this little booth over at the side of the room. Roman's eyes lit up as he raced over, bouncing on his heels as Kai and Virgil slowly followed after him.

"Ok, what are everyone's sizes?" Kai asked softly noticing how Roman was dazed out in excitement.

"I'm an 8 in skates." Virgil answered without hesitation only to giggle as Roman shot him this awed look. "Yes, Roman. I've gone ice skating before."

"Ooh!" Roman beamed as he turned back to the booth with this curious look. "I don't know about skates but in shoes, I'm a 10."

"So you'd be around a 9." Kai mumbled as he nodded. "Alright then... So we need a size 8 and 2 9s, please."

"Oh my god, AH!" Roman squealed happily as he clung to Virgil tightly. Virgil just laughed as he slowly leads Roman out onto the ice, Kai just laughing behind them. "I feel like I'm back on that frozen lake." Virgil rolled his eyes as he carefully started to move more making Roman squeak and stumble to stay holding onto him. "Virgil! Don't let go!"

"I'm not going to let go, you silly." Virgil laughed more as Kai slowly joined them skating effortlessly beside the two with this smile on his face. "Stop looking at your feet." Roman flushed as he quickly looked up only to melt seeing how soft Virgil's expression was.

"I can't help it... I'm walking on ice and my foot isn't even flat on it. I'm basically standing on a long knife." Both Kai and Virgil broke down in laughter as Roman just smiled over seeing his friend so happy. He was very happy Kai had offered to let Virgil join them. It was already shaping up to be the best day. "Just don't let me go. I don't want to fa-... VIRGIL!" Roman panicked the second Virgil let him go making his magic surge forcing himself to keep balance despite the fact that two seconds ago he felt like was about to fall. Kai whistled softly with this smirk as Roman just glared his human down. "That wasn't fair."

"Hey look. You didn't fall." Virgil teased as he skated up real close to whisper in his ears. "As if you ever would... I saw your eyes flash red." Roman blushed as Virgil just nudged him lightly. "Using your magic to keep yourself up. You're such a cheater."

"Oh. Haha... Jerk!" Roman laughed as he pushed away from Virgil with this sassy stink eye. "You WANTED me to fall."

"I thought it would be funny." Virgil smirked as he quirked a brow at him with a chuckle. "Am I wrong?"

"Oh, that is it!" Roman yelled as he glared the other down with this challenging and determined expression. "I am SO going to get you for that."

"Catch me if you can, Roman!" Virgil took off like a bat out of hell laughing hysterically as Roman stood there completely stunned. He gasped as he watched Virgil flip him off playfully before squaring himself up.

"Sorry, Kai. I've got to catch a spider." Kai just smiled as Roman rushed off to try and catch Virgil, no longer having any difficulties at all now that his powers were keeping him upright. Kai watched with a soft expression as the two raced around the rink laughing hysterically.

"Honestly you too..." Kai lulled softly as he watched with softness and understanding.

"HEY!" Virgil squealed as Roman finally caught him, spinning each other around as he hit the wall of the rink with a laugh.

"I caught you."

"You're a cheater!" Roman rolled his eyes as he hugged him even closer. Virgil just pouted as Roman shot him this look burning this fire in his cheeks. "WHAT, YOU ARE?!"

"Am I now?" Roman twisted them around as he slowly started to skate backward still holding Virgil close, using his magic to make sure he was safe. "How am I a cheater?"

"Considering the fact that you don't know how to skate?" Virgil said pointedly making Roman laugh more seeing the childish glare his human was giving him under all that blush. "You would never have caught me if you weren't using your magic to keep balance."

"How would that have been fair? I wouldn't have been able to even try had I not." Virgil whined quietly as Roman moved his chin up a bit to force him to meet his gaze. "And then you wouldn't be in my arms now would you?" Virgil's eyes dilated a bit catching Roman's attention, although he didn't know why, only for them both to freeze as Virgil suddenly pulled out of Roman's arms.

"Hey, Kai!" Roman lit up as he spun around to see the other just standing there with a very soft smile.

"KAI!" Roman giggled as took Virgil's hand subconsciously, pulling him closer as Kai just laughed with a shake of his head. "Did you see? I totally caught him!"

"I did see. You were very good." Roman beamed as he bounced a bit. Kai glanced over to see Virgil just staring at their still intertwined fingers and he sighed. "Are you two hungry?"

"Yes, please!" Virgil cut in pulling his hand out of Roman's grip again making the demon falter in confusion. "Let go." He started off leaving Roman just standing there highly confused.

"Uh..." Roman started only to jump as Kai took his hand in his.

"Don't worry about it, Roman." Roman frowned as he squeezed Kai's hand with a subtle nod. "Let's go eat. I'm sure Virgil wants to get home soon."

"Oh, right... I forgot he was only staying for a few hours." Roman sighed as he stared down at the tattoo on his hand before smiling sadly. "You're right. We shouldn't keep Virgil waiting."

"No... You really shouldn't." Roman shot the other a confused look as Kai gave him a sad yet soft look.

"What does that mean?" Kai just shook his head as he started off gently tugging on Roman's arm who smiled a bit in response.

"Nothing, Roman... Let just go."
