Roman blinked in confusion as he watched the older woman walk off without a second thought. Logan's eyes seemed to sparkle as he gestured to everyone else to listen as he raced after his grandmother. Roman just allowed Virgil to lead him on far too lost in what was going on to even realize he was supposed to be walking.

"Wait..." Roman frowned as Alda shot a small glance back at him with a smile. "How did you-..."

"Oh, Child, I'm a psychic. I did not know why or who was coming but I knew the spell and when I needed it prepared so I have been waiting." Roman just huffed in surprise as Virgil laughed beside him. "Boy with the purple hair..." Roman instantly growled as he clung to Virgil tighter. "I can assume by the sound of the growling behind me but... Are you by chance the young lads mate?" The growling only got louder in warning as Virgil sighed softly and forced Roman to look at him.

"Relax, Hun." Roman whined before just leaning into him as Virgil smiled and trailed his fingers through his hair. "And yes... I am." Alda beamed as she opened another, albeit much smaller, marble and glass door.

"Good. He's going to need you on this journey." Everyone, but Logan and Alda of course, hesitantly entered the room to see this large black painted devils trap in the center of the room, filled with white runes for more advanced than anything Remus had ever seen before. The second Roman spotted it he froze up and took a step back just out of instinct. There was a hand to his back making him whimper as Alda gently nudged him forward with an understanding look in her eyes. "It's alright, Child. I understand your fear but I promise it is necessary."

"Alda, exactly what spell are you doing?" Logan asked as he walked over to the book laid out on the table. "I've never seen a spell that needed all this. Is that an..."

"An athame? Yes, it is. I borrowed it from your father's collection." Logan's eyes narrowed as he watched his grandmother who just chuckled at the protective look. "Oh calm yourself, Sir Cumference." Both Janus and Remus laughed at that but Logan just raised a brow in question. Alda sighed as she held the small ceremonial blade up. "It's barely the size of my hand, and yes it's necessary for the spell."

"The original spell used my blood." Roman whispered making Logan falter as the demon just smiled sadly. "I'm ok with it as long as this spell works." Roman just held Virgil as his eyes closed with a look of clear apprehension. "It has to work."

"So... Boy with the purple hair." Alda smiled softly seeing how instantly Roman reacted pulling Virgil closer to him with a silent growl in the air. "What's your name? I don't think it was ever said."

"Virgil Reed, ma'am." Alda nodded as she turned to the table to start crushing the herbs she had laid out.

"Can everyone who isn't, that young lad and his mate, please stir clear of the circle. I'm going to start the spell and I want to make sure everything goes well." Janus and Remus both jumped and pressed themselves as close to the wall as they could making Alda laugh with a slight roll of her eyes. "The circle won't hurt you any. Its only purpose to contain the demon in the center to minimize backlash and help the spell to actually work. I just didn't want any of you to get hurt because you were too close to him... not the circle." Roman's eyes darkened as he stared at the devil's trap before them. "Alright... Now young man..." Roman jerked a bit before meeting the Gypsy's eyes, seeing her now with the same serious expression Logan had not too long ago. "This spell isn't about fixing the artificial soul you possess at this moment. That won't don't you any good and will only end up breaking again later in your existence." Alda clasped her hands as she smiled at the two before her. "The plan for this spell is not to fix that soul but to fix YOUR soul."

"Wait, what?" Roman just blinked in confusion as he just shook his head. "But that's impossible. A demon is literally in essence a shattered and tainted soul. You can't fix a demon..."

"Let me explain this better." Roman's eyes narrowed in disbelief as Virgil just stood there trying to take in any information as he could to help the most where he can. Alda glanced between the two before finally pointing to the demon's chest. "The spell that was cast on you that gave you the soul was but an empty husk." Roman's eyes fell the second the words were said. "Back when it was first created it wasn't strong enough to actually do anything but give the soulless creature the opportunity to create their own. YOU are the reason your soul grew as much as it did. However..." Alda's eyes darkened as she seemed to stare right into him. "Your soul is far too strong for the spell to hold. That's why it was so easy for it to break. It couldn't support you. The goal of the spell we're casting is to give you it ALL back... To give you YOU back." Roman tensed up seeing the apprehension in the woman's eyes. "The problem in that is... It's going to be excruciating... and it won't work if you're subconsciously overpowering it."

"Hense the devils' trap." Roman whispered, eliciting a nod from Alda, before turning to Virgil with a small smile. "V-Virgil?" Virgil frowned seeing the fear burning through his love's eyes. "I'm not exactly sure how this is going to go but... I'm not letting this chance slip by. I need to get better. I WANT to get better." Virgil's eyes only darkened more at how Roman started to shake. "I'm going to need you."

"Love, I'm-..."

"No, Virgil. Listen..." Virgil clammed up with a blink as Roman forced himself to take a breath. "I am voluntarily walking myself into a devil's trap."
