As this is the first chapter in about....three months? I chose not to wrote something heavy. No important content in this chapter. But but but, it does have implied *cough cough* the thing.... Like.....ya know....

Chill out, nothing's going on anyway.

I suggest you skip if you are 12 years old and below, unless of course your mind is already as tarnished as I, then read away. I care not about your mind's purity for I know that teenagers of the 21st century are naturally scary.

Oh and.

Hi! Welcome back! School is a demon.

That is all.

Happy reading!

It was 1.00 am when Charles and Shao Long chatted in the hospital room, oblivious as time passed by while others had dozed off into dreamland. In lesser than half an hour though, Shao Long started yawning and a few minutes later, he too fell into a deep slumber.

Charles didn't know if it was because Shao Long was purely exhausted or if it had anything to do with his heart.

Dr. Micah said something about fatigue being one of the symptoms of cardiomyopathy and what Shao Long may experience these days given that his condition was to worsen.

Fatigue, dizziness, fainting, chest pain and shortness of breath. Shao Long faced all that already.

Charles stared as the youth on the bed lay motionless with his chest slowly rising and falling over each breath. Shao Long's hair sprawled over the pillow, with some strands scattered over his face.

Charles remembered the first time he saw Shao Long slept. Shao Long had slept like a statue with both his hands crossed over his stomach, completely unmoving. It was only recently that Shao Long started relaxing and was able to sleep on his side or occasionally on his stomach. Sometimes he even hugged his pillow.

This time, Shao Long's body was facing him, sleeping in a curled position, hugging both his knees to his chest. Similar to what a child would do. Charles wouldn't blame him. Shao Long had probably missed a huge part of his childhood.

Plus, he's adorable. Who would stop him from doing so?

"Really now. You're about to die and then you start acting all cute and lovely. Seriously?" Charles sighed.

If Shao Jun was there, he would roll his eyes.

Resting his chin on his palm, Charles stroked Shao Long's hair, tucking the wild strands behind his ears carefully. Black hair isn't uncommon no matter where you were born and Charles had seen plenty of black haired all around the world, including America itself. Previously too, Charles had thought of nothing about Shao Long's appearance. Why would now be the time where he couldn't help but adore the lustrous locks?

Charles thought about what had happened during the whole day. First, he went to Poposi, found out that Nubis was the so called pervert, found out about the base, navigated the base, found out that it was a war submarine base, accidentally had it blown up to shreds and escaped unscathed.

He returned to Momos, seeking praise from Shao Long but ended up in another conflict situation. Xi Shen Ko was there on Momos, aiming a gun towards Shao Jun and caused a ruckus. Even all the guards went missing. At that moment, no one was with Shao Long. He was on his own, and the man he hated the most had pointed a gun to Shao Jun.

Why would Xi Shen Ko aim for Shao Jun? Despite being hated, Xi Shen Ko had proven that he cared more about Shao Jun than he ever will towards Shao Long.
