A/N: Kay so like, I reread my work again, and found out that there are too many plot holes, if you hadn't noticed, and I kinda found a way to actually cover up all that, but that itself would actually create a couple more plot holes, so please bare with me if you think this story has taken a couple of weird turns, because I seriously can't keep constant with my story, it's been around a year and two months since it was first written anyway. Hence some cringey last-year style.

I'm thinking of rewriting but I ain't that diligent I'm so sorry

Now pardon me for my rambling, we'll begin the chapter in a sec.

While the rest of the group continued to fill Nova in with a couple more details that he missed, as well as the evidence they have acquired so far, Shao Jun still attempted to unlock the tablet. Shao Long had long dozed off, or basically going back and forth between conscious and the opposite. He had nothing to focus on, so we wasn't able to keep being awake.

"Sleepy..." he slurred silently, and the person who seemed to heard him was Xueyang. The bodyguard turned to him, and ruffled his hair till it was a messy bird's nest, saying "You know you're not supposed to sleep often. It's dangerous."

"I know, I know..." Shao Long mumbled. "Can't help it..." He smiled.

Seeing his master being exhausted, even more so than before, Xueyang felt his heart sting. As a bodyguard, naturally his work is tiring, and yet he never really got to be more exhausted than Shao Long. Shao Long had his legs folded, and brought to his chest while his chin rested on his knees, with his arms as pillow. He had a hard time stabilizing himself, even in that form. Shao Long didn't even have it in himself to open his eyes fully, making them smaller than they already are.

"Rest your eyes a bit, then move around." Xueyang's voice carried a gentle tone that was rarely ever shown to anyone else, except Shao Jun that is.

Shao Long wanted to thank the stars for being allowed to actually rest his eyes, and he quickly obliged. Xueyang sighed silently, making sure Shao Long wouldn't be able to hear him, before focusing on the discussion again.

With the help of Nova, they managed to break through a few websites, the dark web and far deeper to gather whatever remaining evidence they couldn't get, and as an entrepreneur of a high technology company, Nova himself was brought to court a couple of times due to rumours from blackmailing parties and other black-hearted people. Naturally he would know where can a person cover their crimes at court, and he knew how to prevent a loophole. That gave them a chance to solidify their first crime article about Xi Shen Ko.

After a while, Shao Jun was finally able to unlock the tab. "That little bastard really guards this tablet, huh. Where exactly did you find this, blondie?"

"Meh, it was laying around in the base." Charles shrugged.

"How suspicious. He probably thinks we can't go through this loc-"

A digital noise vibrated from the tablet, and green holographic light appeared from the screen, scanning Shao Jun's face. Before the Chinese was able to register what was happening, the tablet let out a statement.

"Identity verification, proximity level 83%. Authorization denied."

"...."

"...."

"...."

Inhaling deeply, Shao Jun set the tablet down. "I think we need a poster of his face..."

"That won't work though." Shintarou argued. "Something as high tech as that tablet wouldn't possibly confuse a picture and a real face. Usually, for this kind of identity verification, 75% proximity is enough to unlock a device, but from what I can tell, it's probably 100% proximity before you'll be able to unlock it."
