Guys I'm so sorry for not updating for two days straight like what the heck how lazy can I be?

But hey, at least while I'm still at home and working, I will continue. But if school starts once again, goodbye for another month before I finally got back to this.

The princes are allowed to visit Shao Long, after almost half an hour trying to convince Xueyang that they will be as quiet as possible. Since the night was still young and tomorrow was a weekend, they did not rush their sleep. Xueyang only stood at the corner, huffing in irritation. They were too many, and too persistent about seeing Shao Long.

Of course, Shao Jun doesn't like the idea at all. Unfortunately, it wasn't for him to decide. So all he could do was sit quietly, gripping Shao Long's hand like his life depended on it, and let them all see his brother.

As long as they don't mean any harm.

Shao Jun wasn't in the mood to be his own cheerful self, so at the moment, he was no different from the Shao Long that had just returned to the Academy after 2 months of staying at home. Cold. Quiet. Empty.

Alex patted Shao Jun's shoulder, mumbling "I'm so sorry for your loss". His voice was filled with concern, it made Shao Jun feel bad that he wasn't the least bit concerned about the death of his mother. But who could blame him. He rarely saw her at all, and even if he did, it was no different than meeting just another stranger. They never even had a proper talk before.

So yeah, both of their parents are useless after all.....

But, deciding to act like a normal person with a normal family, he revealed a small smile, replying softly "It's fine".

Okay, maybe he was just underestimating some of the princes, but Gion, Charles, Alex, Shintarou and Livio could all somehow sense his true meaning. That he could care less. That he was only like this because of Shao Long.

Leon then asked "So are you three going back to China for a while?"

"........probably not. The funeral was.....a week ago. The news was delayed. It's no use" Shao Jun wanted to scoff. How would their father ever let them go back? Waste of his time, when they both knew that them coming home was only for Shao Long to mourn, which Xi Shen Ko will not allow. Other than that, Xi Shen Ko knew Shao Jun wasn't too fond of her, so Shao Jun will not want to go back. In short, they don't really have a reason to go back. Shao Long couldn't actually back, and even the ashes of their mother was probably thrown in a river somewhere. What was the point?

"You can still visit her tomb, though, as respect!" Felix butted in, which was apparently not a wise choice. No one could really blame him, he was saying the truth.

Thankfully, Shao Jun was smart enough to actually think of an excuse "Actually, according to Chinese culture, the mourning period takes about 100 days, and I doubt that could happen. After all, we had only just returned. We, however, cannot leave the mourning period halfway once started, so it's better to just pay respects here".

Of course, the thing about not being able to leave halfway during the mourning period was false, but as long as they didn't know, it should be fine. Leon, no matter how knowledgeable he is, wouldn't be able to tell the strictest tradition, especially since some tradition varied from families.

And yes, they were fooled.

"Alright, don't bother him anymore. It might take a few while before Young Master Shao Long wakes up, and we don't need another person fainting" Xueyang rolled his eyes.

"Excuse me, if you are implying I'm going to pass out due to some remarks, then maybe you should look in the mirror" Shao Jun replied with an obvious annoyed expression.
