Lana's POV

I woke up and stayed in bed for like another hour. My phone started ringing and it was Hayes. "Are you coming to my game at 3?" He asked. "Yeah I'm pretty sure I'm going. Dude its crazy how close you guys are til the championship game." I told him. "Yeah , I'm really nervous though." "Don't worry I'm sure you'll do great. OK now leave me the fuck alone, I want to go back to sleep." He chuckled and said bye. I went down stairs and my mom was making breakfast. "Hi." I said sitting on the island watching her cook. "What do you want?" She asked. "Geez I can't say hi to my own mother." I said and she chuckled. "We're still going to your boyfriend's game ?" She asked . "You know he's not my boyfriend ." I said. "I see the way that boy looks at you, he loves you." She said. "He's just my best friend, nothing more." I told her. I helped her put the food on the table. "Did you feed your dog?" She asked me. I got up to go feed her. She was playing outside ,barking at the birds. I sat back down at the table and ate my chilaquiles. "I made some extra so you can give it to hayes since its his favorite." She told me. "How about I eat it instead." She gave me a look . I finished eating and grabbed hayes plate. I went into their house and walked upstairs. I tried to open his door but it was locked. I grabbed a quarter that was on the floor and I unlocked the door. He was under his sheets moving. I decided to pull the sheets and scare him . I tip toed over to him and pulled the sheets. I saw something I never wanted to see. He was jerking off. I screamed and dropped the plate to the ground and I covered my eyes. "Can't you knock!" He yelled. He pulled his pants up and got off his bed. "I think I'm going to cry." I said. "Why did it look so deformed.eww!" I yelled. He picked the plate off the ground. "I can't believe you dropped it." He said, putting the food back on the plate. "I'm scarred for life." I said. He closed his door. "You promise you won't tell any one that happened."he said, holding his pinky out ." eww I'm not going to touch your hand after that." I told him. "I can't believe that just happened. "He said. I started to laugh , he looks at me and started laughing too. "Wait why are you laughing ?" I asked , trying to breathe. " I don't know , why are you laughing?" He asked. "you still have a boner." I said , laughing and pointing at it. "Fuck! Get out!" He yelled pushing me out his room. He locked me out so I went home to get ready. I went to my room and took a long shower. After I got out I put on jeans , baseball tee that had Grier #7 on it, hayes gave it to me for Christmas, even thought its part of his merch I still love it. I did my make up and I left my hair down. I put my black converse on and took my phone off the charger. I went to my mom's room she was laying on her bed watching TV. "Mom go get ready I don't want to be late." I said. "I'm the parent." She told me. I groaned. It was 1:45. When she was ready it was 2:49. "Okay can we go to the field now, its like 20 minutes away." I complained. "We'll leave when you get a jacket." She said grabbing her keys from the table . I ran up stairs and grabbed my Cali hoodie. We went in the car and sped off to the field. When we got their the game was starting. I saw the cheerleaders cheering. "Is that hayes girlfriend?" My mom asked pointing at Kaitlyn. "Eww yeah." I said . "She seems like she is a little whore." She whispered. I started laughing. I saw Angel , cat, leslie and Alyssa at the food bar. Hayes mom Elizabeth came over to my mom and they started talking I moved and sat with my girls. The score is 20-21 and its the 4th
Quarter. Its the last play and its the other teams ball and they were at the 10.yard line.. Hayes was watching from the side line he was so nervous. The other teams quarterback threw the ball. , Connor intercepted. We all go up and started cheering. Hayes team all ran onto the field. They other team were being sore losers and were yelling and pushing hayes team. Me and the girls ran to the fence. Some player pushed hayes to the ground . Hayes got up and was about to punch him. But chad and the other adults were trying to break up the fight. They stopped fighting and the other team went to their side of the field. Hayes walked over to us. "Are you okay?" We asked him. "Yeah, dude I was gonna fight him." He laughed. We laughed. "Congratulations , I knew you guys were gonna win ." I told him , honestly. He said thanks and he started walking over to his friends and the football player that pushed hayes came running from nowhere rammed himself into Hayes. Hayes yelled in pain and fell to the ground. He tried to get up but the guy punched hayes. I tried to jump over the fence to pull the guy off of hayes . Luis ran over to them and tackled the guy. When I finally got on the field the team were surrounding hayes. Chad was bent down next to hayes. I pushed through the players. "Dad I can't move." He said , with pain in his voice. "Someone call 911!" Chad yelled. "I'm calling!" Angel yelled. I bent down to hayes." What hurts?" I asked. "Everything , my back I can't move." He cried. I'm so scared hayes was crying and he never crys. The paramedics came a few minutes later . They put him on the thing and took him to the hospital. "Omg what happened?" She said running from who knows where. "Where were you?" I snapped. "I was in the restroom." She snapped. I ignored her and ran to the car. My mom got in and we sped to the hospital. It was the same hospital I was in a few months again. I ran to the front desk with my mom behind me and I asked the lady. "Can you like hurry up!" I snapped. "Room 483 " she snapped back. I ran into the elevator but it closed and my mom wasn't able to come in. When I got to his floor I ran to his room and a doctor came out the door. "I'm sorry Mr. Grier isn't able to have visitors." He said . I groaned and turned around. Chad, Elizabeth, nila , sky, and Nash were all sitting on chairs. "How is he ?" I asked Elizabeth. My mom came and sat down next to Nash. "We don't know yet they ran a few tests and a xray." She said, with a worried look on her face. Sky was getting grumpy and tired. "If you want I can take sky to my house and she can sleep." My mom told hayes mom. She nodded and they left.

~2 hours later~

"Hayes can have visitors." The doctor said leaving out the room with a few nurses. Chad and Elizabeth went first than nila and john. Me and Nash went last. He was sleeping in his bed. He had a busted lip and a black eye. "You got the shit beaten out of you hayes." Nash chuckled and hit him to stop. Hayes woke up. "Hey how are you feeling?" I said , sitting on the chair next to his bed ,holding his hand. "I'm in a lot of pain , Nash can you get my doctor?" He said. Nash nodded and left the room. "What if I'm not able to play the championship game." He told me. "Hayes ," I started . "no, Lana you don't understand how important it is to me." He told me. I groaned. "Of course I know its important to you , but hayes you need to be healthy if you want to play later on in the future. " I told him. Nash came back with the doctor. He gave hayes medicine and some water. "So after seeing your xrays , I notice that your back wasn't broken but it was badly bruise which can lead to much more. So I recommend you not doing any physical activities for 2 months and after that well see if you have progress." He told him."so I can't play football?" Hayes asked. "Hayes if you do play your back will get worse with the possibilities of being paralyzed. And not being able to ever do a physical activity. So rest up!" He said leaving the room. Hayes looked devastated . "I'm playing that game." He mumbled. "If you do I'm gonna beat the living shit out of you Hayes." I threatened. "Is Kaitlyn here?" He asked me. I rolled my eyes. "Why don't you like her?" He asked. "Because you deserve some one who actually cares, hayes she doesn't even love you." Nash said. "Nash be quiet you don't know what you're talking about." Hayes fired back. "Hayes don't be stupid you know she is cheating on you." Nash spat. "How would you know." Hayes snapped. "Because we fucked." Nash said.
