Hello, I just have a few words about the book before you start reading. So first of all, the romance is pretty slow (ML falls at ch 50). He's very paranoid making it hard to get close to him but when he falls he falls hard.

My favorite thing about this novel was reading how the relationship developed between the two leads-especially since I started out HATING the male lead. I absolutely detested him and did not think I would grow to like him. In the beginning, I was really frustrated with how the female lead would put up with his BS, but I felt that she actually handled him very well after considering everything.
I loved how none of the characters were absolutely OP. I mean the female lead isn't super intelligent or tactical, but the male lead falls in love with her because of how she actually cares for him. I think the more I read the more enjoyable the banter became between the two. I also really liked how there wasn't any heavy romantic drama between any of the group. The second male lead and the second female lead never really strayed from each other. Watching the male lead misunderstand and get jealous with the second male lead was really humorous.
All in all, this is a pretty plot heavy book where romance isn't the sole focus. So if you're looking for something with action, mystery, adventure, and romance development, this is a good bet. I'm so glad I didn't give up on this book when I couldn't stand the male lead in the beginning
