"August... When was you going to tell me that your ex and y'alls child was coming into town and that y'all was hanging out?"

"I didn't even know. I was gonn take my mama out for lunch and they was there. I don't think Kayla knew either. Why is there a problem?"

"It's just weird how all of a sudden when you good and rich she wants to come back into your life with a child probably wanting money."

He looked at me as if I was stupid. "First of all KAYLA ain like that. She's always worked fa what she has and she still does. She model an she been taking care of our son by ha'self. If it wasn't fa ha I wouldn't be where I am. She always been there from the time me and Briana broke up she was my "bestfriend." When all my niggas turned fake on me. She helped me find myself and music,  she helped me through alot. I'm the one that pushed our friendship into a relationship. She didn't want to cause she had been hurt befo' and so had I. Then ya thot ass had to come ans fuck it up. Then I don't know why the fuck I stuck with ya. She brought somebody that helped me pursue my dream being a singer. YOU fucked it up. Maybe YOU want my money." He snapped

I didn't say anything I just sat and cried.

"Camille," he said

"Don't. Don't talk to me right now August."

"Baby. I'm sorry." He came over and stood infront of me

"August. I was just after your money before I knew you.  I just want you now! I don't want you to go back to her. Do you still love her?" I asked

"Yeah.. But you know you can't help who you love. All that matters is that I'm with you."

"I love you August."

"I love you too Camille."

"Ma. I want to hang out with daddy." Anthony said to me.

"Call him baby."

"I did. He didn't answer. Do you think he forgot me?"

"Never honey, he loves you and will always remember you. Let me call  him from my phone." I dialed his number

"Hello?" He answered

"August?"

"What's poppin?"

"Are you busy?"

"I was ki-"

"August come on!"  I heard a female voice in the backgroud then whispering

"August?!"

He was still whispering. I hung up.

Me: Our son wants to see you........

I sent that as my eyes watered. I know I still have feelings for him. Hell. I still love him, but things aren't the same. He didn't even text back.

"Anthony... I think he's busy. We can talk to him later."

He pouted and stomped off. I shook my head. I'm not going to let him get to me today. I'm going to rent some movies for him and then give him snacks then time for him to go to bed, and then wine for me and music to relax me.

Time passed and Anthony fell asleep after eating all them snacks and watching half of a movie. Now I have me a bottle of wine and some green apple crown. I normally don't drink anything but wine, but I had to try something, and this drink is helping me.
