Heeeey guys. :) Sorry for the late update. :/

I apologize for this horrible chapter. It was incredibly difficult to write because since Roseia is in her little witchy jail cell, she can't see anything other than what happens in the room she's inside. She can only hear it and feel the presence of people with strong power (Dahlia and the Mikaelsons, basically). So sorry if it's bad. :(

Chapter One Hundred & Thirteen

My current situation was unbelievably annoying and tedious.

I was angry with them, all of them knew it. But right now, they were too focused on protecting Hope to care. However, they did tell me exactly what was going to happen.

Freya had enchanted two paintings and put them on either side of the courtyard. Once Dahlia walked in between them, she was mortal. The bait to make her walk in was an enchanted Golem that Rebekah was using to make Dahlia think it was Hope. Her power source was replicated inside of Freya.Once Dahlia took the bait and walked between the paintings, Elijah would stab her and kill her.

It seemed like a plan that would definitely go off without a hitch. That is, if we didn't have Klaus running around. After what they had done, he was a loose cannon. It was likely that he might even be helping Dahlia.

They would not succeed. I knew that, and I was sure that a small part of them knew it as well.

I could hear them speaking as Dahlia came in. I didn't know if she had crossed into the threshold or not. I hoped that she had.

I could hear Rebekah chanting now while Dahlia spoke.

"I come all this way to collect what is owed to me, and whom should I find?"

Freya was terrified. Her voice was shaking. "Auntie, please listen. I betrayed my siblings so I could procure this child. I offer her to you now, and in exchange, I only ask that you release me from my obligation to you."

Dahlia was clearly amused. "How curious, that you should bargain with me for that which is already mine. But, by all means, make your case for why you should be freed. And then I will decide whether to release you or kill you, once and for all," I heard her move closer, but I had a feeling that she hadn't yet reached the killing ground. "You surprise me. Betraying the family you meant to coax to your side? How very ruthless of you."

"I had hoped that they would welcome me as a sister," Freya said anxiously. "I was wrong."

"Of course you were, you poor little fool! To think that Esther's wicked little progeny could ever care for you? They are known the world over for obscene acts of violence, and yet, you sought them out instead of staying where you belong. With me."

Even from so far away, I could hear Freya's heartbeat. It was beating at a horrifically fast rate.

"I offered to protect you, and you left me. And now, it is you who is alone! But then... Who could love a deceitful little wretch?"

I could hear Rebekah continuing to chant, but I could also hear movement. It wasn't Dahlia, and Elijah wasn't moving. Obviously, neither was Freya. So who was it?

Rebekah suddenly stopped chanting, and I heard a panting and exhausted person breathing heavily in front of her.

"Marcel?" she asked.
