Sorry if the tag is a bother at all.
This chapter is dedicated to some imagines/roleplay ideas for Kiku based on the Scary Stories to tell in the Dark short stories. I thought these would be fun to write since they're ideas I've had before but never shared, as well as these just being both spooky and fun.
I will of course say which story inspired which idea.Go ahead and pick the one that's most interesting to you for us to do, and feel free to leave your thoughts.
Imagines:
Alligators:
Kiku being around Slade either as his best friend or girlfriend and slowly growing into his family. In this AU, this is Jude, the father, and Slade's little brother Charlie.
Everything seems normal at first. That is until Charlie's birthday starts to grow closer. This being his fifth.
She notices that Jude and Slade both keep disappearing deep into the forest with Charlie. In fact, the three already lived rather deep in the forest. The girl had never thought much of it before though. Jude was rich and could live just about anywhere he wanted. But now, something seemed off.
Every time they came back from the forest, Charlie seemed a little different. A little more animal-like. He formed new habits, ones that reminded her of a dog or pup.
Then there came the clothes and hair. Jude and Slade always seemed to have their ears covered and she had never seen either of them in shorts or swim trunks. Charlie though used to wear shorts and his hair was kept shorter. Now his hair was grown out and covered his ears and he never wore his shorts anymore, even when he complained he was warm.
One day, Kiku was brushing out the little boy's hair since Slade and Jude were cooking breakfast together that morning. When she accidentally pushed his hair back, she was startled to see that his ears were now pointed. Though before she could react and confirm it wasn't a trick of the eye, Jude called for the two to come to breakfast.
Then there was the time she had walked in on Jude giving Charlie his bath. She... She could have sworn she saw a stubby nub on his backside, but obviously, she had left rather quickly.
More odd occurrences like this kept happening within the month that led up to his birthday. And each time, Kiku was kept from being able to figure out if what she saw was actually there or just paranoia.
Kiku of course was invited to Charlie's fifth birthday party, and when she arrived at it, she found that there were paper signs leading to where his party was being held in the forest. With the birthday gifts for the young boy in her arms, she headed into the forest, following the signs. And soon enough, she arrived.
Hardly had she the time to put the gifts down that she found herself surrounded by the three, two men and a little boy. Or more importantly, three werewolves who were half-turned and had no intentions of ever letting her leave again.
They were her new home. The Drum:
There was a little boy who had never felt quite loved. His mother was all he had, but she never really paid him proper attention. She was always out, usually on dates or just having fun, fun she had without him. He hadn't any idea who his father was.
He did all sorts of things when she was home to get her attention. All that ever got him was in trouble. She was mean, but she was his mother.
His mother always told him if he kept on, she wouldn't be there anymore and he'd have a new mother, one with glass eyes and a wooden tail that would thump so horribly, as if it was preparing to paddle his bottom.
For some time, he'd stop his attempts to garner attention. He stopped them until it was unbearable any longer because he needed a hug.
One day, he climbed the counters in his kitchen, wanting to get some hot chocolate down in the hopes of making his mother some since it was cold and she had been out all day. Maybe it'd make her happy.
He remembered climbing on the counter and grabbing the hot cocoa. Then he remembered his mother screaming his name and grabbing his arm... His foot slipped when she yanked him, yanked him so hard that his shoulder hurt really bad. But he didn't remember what happened after that.
When he woke up, he was still in his home. It felt cozier than he remembered though. The furniture was nicer. Instead of his mother's favorite show that was constantly at play, he heard his favorite cartoon on for once. Scooby-Doo. And the house smelled like soup. Someone was cooking his favorite soup.
Everything was ruined though in nearly an instant. He heard... Thumping. It was the thumping his mother had warned him of. It was his new mother, and that was her wooden tail, likely coming to wack his behind. Immediately, the little boy began to cry and tried to find a hiding spot.
He eventually settled on a big chair. And right as he hid behind it, he heard the door to the room open.
The thumping grew closer and closer, and the boy began to cry more and more. And when he heard the thumping right by him, he let out a little sob, unable to keep it in anymore.
Immediately, he was picked up as the thumping stopped right by him.
Wiping his teary eyes, the boy went to plead but stopped when he saw that the woman holding him was nothing like what he'd been told. Her eyes were dark brown and certainly not glass. And she had no tail.
Glancing at her feet, he saw that she was wearing black short heels. That must have been the thumping.
He immediately calmed down and hugged his new mommy, who seemed concerned as to why he had been crying.
A few moments later, he heard another set of feet enter the room, asking if his baby and girl were okay. And he soon saw a man, a man that actually had some very similar features to him. His daddy. And his daddy didn't have glass eyes or a wooden tail either.(Only two imagines for now since both are longer, more will likely be written later on in future chapters)
