Adam and Kim were at the clinic, waiting for the surgeon to call Kim's name.
"I-I'm so scared.." Kim whispered.
Adam sighed, he knew Kim wasn't good with anesthetic, It gave her nightmares.
"It's okay, I'll tell the nurse to try and change the knockout drugs." Adam suggested.
Kim nodded, and leant on Adam's shoulder.
"Kimberly Burgess?" A nurse called.
Kim and Adam looked up, and stood.
"Were here!" Adam called.
The nurse smiled, and let Kim and Adam walk in.
Kim and Adam walked into the hospital room, and Adam spoke.
"Umm, nurse?" Adam asked.
The nurse looked round, and nodded.
"Yes?" The nurse smiled.
"M-My wife, she doesn't do very good with anesthetic, are you able to change it?" Adam explained.
The nurse sighed, and explained.
"Unfortunately, we can't due to the procedure, but one of us can be there to hold your wife's hand. if you'd like?" The nurse smiled.
Adam sighed, and thought of someone.
"D-Does Will Halstead, work here?" Adam wondered.
The nurse nodded, and done a confused look.
"Sorry, Will's the brother of one of my friends, and he knows the intelligence unit, very well." Adam explained.
The nurse nodded, and spoke.
"Okay, I'll go get him." The nurse suggested.
Adam and Kim nodded, and waited.
After a few minutes. Will walked in, and smiled.
"Hi you two!" Will chirped.
Adam and Kim smiled, and gave a small hug.
"So, the nurse is telling me, you don't do to well with anesthetic.." Will replied.
Kim nodded, and looked down.
"Alright, if you want, I can hold your hand?" Will suggested.
Kim nodded, and smiled.
"Alright, if you'd like to sit on this chair, we'll get your prepped." Will explained.
Kim nodded again, and sat on the chair.
"Thanks Man!" Adam patted Will's shoulder.
"No worries, friends of Jay's, is a friend of ours, and, if anything happened to Kim or you, Jay would probably work me into an early grave." Will laughed.
Adam nodded, and giggled.
"Okay, Kim should be ready for surgery, I'll come see you, when she's done." Will explained.
"Alright, thanks!" Adam sat down.
Will nodded, and left.
After 10 minutes. Kim was getting ready for surgery, and Will was there.
"It's okay, I'm here, just hold my hand." Will removed his mask.
Kim nodded, and squeezed Will's hand.
"Alright Kim, were putting you under now." Barry spoke.
Kim nodded, and felt the mask over her face.
"Now, count back from 10." Barry whispered.
Kim nodded, and started counting backwards.
"10....9....8....7....6....5...." Kim whispered.
Kim was out, and her hand was still in Will's.
"I'm right here, Kim, right here.." Will whispered.
The surgeon took Kim's wisdom tooth out, and put it on a metal tray.
They placed some gauze in Kim's mouth, and tidied her up.
"Alright, let's get Kim back into her room." Nash instructed.
They all nodded, and wheeled Kim into her room.
After 10 minutes. Will walked out.
Adam spotted Will, and walked to him.
"How's My Girl?" Adam smiled.
"Kim done really well, there were no complications, the nurse's are just settling her in recovery." Will explained.
Adam nodded, and followed Will.
After a moment. Adam and Will arrived at Kim's room.
Kim was asleep, with an iv going through her arm, giving her pain meds.
"Hi Baby.." Adam held Kim's hand.
Kim whimpered, and opened her glassy eyes.
"O-Ow.." Kim whimpered.
Adam gently massaged Kim's shoulders, and kissed her head.
"It's okay, I'm here, baby.." Adam whispered.
Kim snuggled into Adam's arms, and sniffled.
"I-It hurts..." Kim winced.
"I know baby, I know.." Adam kissed Kim's head.
After a moment. Kim fell asleep, and Adam carried her.
"Thanks, Man.." Adam mouthed.
Will and The nurse smiled, and said goodbye.
"Let's go home." Adam whispered in Kim's ear.
Kim sighed, and mumbled.
"Home.." Kim sighed.
Adam giggled, and walked to the car.
After Half hour. Adam and Kim arrived home, and Adam made dinner.
"Steakkkk.." Kim exclaimed.
Adam turned the stove off, and brought some soup.
"Kim, darlin, you know your not allowed steak..." Adam placed the soup down.
Kim groaned, and pouted.
"Hey, I made my soup, the one you adore!" Adam smiled.
Kim smiled, and began slurping.
"Oh, your so cute.." Adam slurped his soup.
Kim smiled, and got sauce all over her face.
"Ooh, you messy pup!" Adam gently cleaned Kim's face.
Kim giggled, and smiled.
Adam took some new gauze out of the packaging, and spoke to Kim.
"Lie down for me baby." Adam whispered.
Kim lied on Adam's lap, and opened her mouth.
"Good job!" Adam smiled.
Adam took the gauze out, and replaced it.
Kim winced, and cried.
"Ooh, I'm sorry, baby.." Adam apologised.
Kim nodded, and sighed.
"All done!" Adam smiled.
Kim sat up, and yawned.
"Tired?" Adam wondered.
Kim nodded, and opened her arms.
"Okay, I'll carry you." Adam stood up.
Adam carried Kim, and walked upstairs.
After 10 minutes. Adam and Kim were settled into bed, and fell asleep.
