Chapter-104

The eyes were the same but the stare was different. They stared back at her like spilling fire balls. It had the reserves of revenge. Her state, her helplessness she sensed a strange empathy with her lookalike. The blood around her, it felt as if she was strangled by the vines of cedar. The clouds were covering the sun as if they were in accordance with her mourning. The wind was changing its colors to a dark tornado. Out of blue, a large lightning struck the ground; right in between them two. The impact was as bad as she was thrown to the ground. The land suddenly started shivering. The swords started shaking and slowly stood in the air pointing towards the sky. They surrounded her in circles and she was the center. Amanya mustered all her courage and slowly stepped towards her. The swords were making way for her. She slowly took her step one by one, every inch with a heavy heart. The closer she gets, the more distressed and depressed she feels. The distance between them was just a few feet but it felt like miles parting them. She broke off and it was just a foot apart. She looked at the man she was holding. Her lips darted dry. It's.. Yu.. Yuvan!!??

Amanya felt her surroundings frozen as if time had stopped its counting. All she could sense was a complete numbness. She could braid chill deep in her bones. She was deadlock for seconds. She bended and caressed his face with fluttering hands. As her fingertips touched his face, the whole land trembled and the swords started falling. The sky opened and started collapsing. With a thunder, it fell upon them, crushing the other two and suffocating her. Her breath dropped sluggish and darkness filled her eyes.

"Apu.. Apu.." A loud call woke her. She opened her eyes dimly; edged light blurred her vision. She looked around, her breath was still deep and heavy.

"Apu.. Apu.. what happened?"

The face slowly appeared bright. She hugged him tightly. Her elation was otherworldly. " You.. are .. I'm glad..."

"What happened Apu? You were sleeping quite well but then you started sweating badly and just now, you were crying in your sleep. Is everything ok?"

"I... It was just a bad dream... I'm fine."

"Don't be scared or pressured. You have my back; always." he hugged her and she leaned over him holding his hand. It felt too realistic for a dream. As she cooled down, she noticed her hands stinging. She was shocked to see, her hands were hurt, the same as her dream. She was too intimidated that she started pinching him.

"Stop the cart!"

"Apu, let's take a rest. This place is near the capital and has lots of oak trees." She rushed off the cart and stood before the oak and nutmeg trees; petrified.
