Mitch eagerly jumped onto his bed and grabbed his laptop, opening the lid and hurriedly typing in the password. His fingers were moving so fast, he accidentally mistyped the password multiple times before he finally got it right. He was practically shaking with excitement as he opened the Skype app, and a grin formed on his lips as he saw the little green bubble by his boyfriend's name. Without missing a beat, he pressed the call button.

It was only a few moments before Scott answered the call. A smile was already on his lips, and he was wrapped in blankets, the sleeves of his sweater over his hands. "Hi, Mitchy." His voice was soft from exhaustion, and the sound of it sent shivers down Mitch's spine. "Hi, baby. How was your day?" he asked, smiling wider at the sight of him. "It was good," Scott answered with a yawn, but his blue eyes shone with love. "I wish you could be here, though. Then it would be even better." Mitch laughed softly and nodded, wishing more than anything to have Scott in his arms. "I know, princess. We just have to wait a bit longer, then I can see you."

"Do you have to finish school?" Scott whined softly, pulling the blanket tighter around himself and wishing it was Mitch's arms. Mitch laughed again, humming quietly. "Yes, baby. I do have to finish the school year. I've already earned enough to buy a ticket to fly out to you, and after this year it'll only be two more until we can move in with each other." Scott frowned and curled up, pulling his laptop closer to himself so he could see Mitch better. "I wanna move in with you now..." he whined, but Mitch just smiled and shook his head. "Darling, you haven't even seen me in person yet."

"That doesn't matter. I love you."

"I love you too, baby girl. It's not much longer."

Scott sighed sadly, but he quickly smiled brightly and sat up. "Guess what?" Mitch smiled fondly and subconsciously reached out to the screen, wishing he could touch him. "What?" he asked curiously. Scott smiled wider and set the laptop down, and Mitch could see him get up and rush into the kitchen to retrieve something. The tall blond returned a few moments later with a mug in the shape of a cat. "Look what Kirstie got me!" Mitch couldn't help but smile at how adorable his baby was. "That's beautiful, baby. Is it a cat?"

"Uh huh! She said she saw it at the mall and she knew she had to get it for me because I like kitties!"

"That was nice of her. Did you thank her?"

Scott giggled and nodded, subconsciously holding the mug to his chest. "Duh."

"God, I'm so in love with you," Mitch whispered, his eyes trailing over Scott's features. Scott blushed, but he was unable to keep himself from smiling. "I love you too, Mitchy." Mitch sighed softly and pulled his laptop closer. "I don't know if I can wait a month, sweetheart. I can't wait to cuddle you and kiss you and spoil you." Scott blushed more and kissed his fingers, placing them on the screen. Mitch smiled and did the same. "Only a few more weeks, love. Then we'll finally be together for two whole weeks."

"That's not long enough," Scott whispered, staring into Mitch's eyes. Even from hundreds of miles away, he could still get lost in the chocolate depths. Mitch sighed, his fingers curling into themselves. "I know, baby. But at least we get to see each other." Scott nodded and mustered up a smile. "I'm going to go get some chocolate milk, I'll be right back." He got up again and hurried into the kitchen, this time taking his kitty mug with him. Mitch laughed fondly and waited patiently for his return.

After a few moments, Scott returned with his kitty mug filled with chocolate milk. He held it with both hands and sipped at it through a straw, and Mitch couldn't help but smile. "You're so cute." Scott giggled and blushed. "Thank you, Mitchy, but you're cuter."

They proceeded to have a playful argument over who was cuter, but after that, they talked about the most random things. All too soon, Mitch's gaze flickered to the clock in the corner of the screen and he sighed softly. "It's getting late over there, sweetheart. You should get to sleep," he said quietly, but Scott frowned and shook his head, holding his blankets to his chest. "But I wanna talk to you," he whined, pouting. Mitch smiled, his gaze softening. "I know, baby, but you need your sleep. Go get in your pajamas, okay?" Scott sighed, but he nodded, and scrambled to obey.

Mitch waited patiently for him to return, and he watched as Scott picked up his computer and took him into his bedroom. He curled up under the sheets and held onto his sleeves. "Will you sing to me, Mitchy?" he asked quietly, his eyes shining with innocence. Mitch smiled and nodded. "Okay, baby girl. Turn off the light."

Scott hesitated, as he was afraid of the dark, but he reassured himself that Mitch wouldn't let anything happen to him and clicked off the lamp. His breathing picked up almost immediately, but soon, Mitch's soothing voice began to flow from the only source of light in the room.

"Come over the hills, my bonny Irish lass.
Come over the hills to your darling.
You choose the rose, love, and I'll make the vow,
And I'll be your true love forever.

"Red is the rose that in your garden grows,
And fair is the lily of the valley.
Clear is the water that flows from the Boyne,
And my love is fairer than any.

"'Twas down by Killarney's green woods that we strayed,
And the noon and the stars, they were shining.
The moon shone its rays on her locks of golden hair,
And she swore she'd be my love forever.

"Red is the rose that in your garden grows,
And fair is the lily of the valley.
Clear is the water that flows from the Boyne,
And my love is fairer than any.

"It's not for the parting that my sister pains.
It's not for the grief of my mother.
'Tis all for the loss of my bonny Irish lass
That my heart is breaking forever."

Scott was fast asleep by the time Mitch finished. He smiled and kissed the screen softly, falling deeper in love. "Goodnight, baby," he whispered, and then, he ended the call.
