-Friday, November 10th-

This was it, this was the day of the first quidditch game of the year. People had been talking all week about the excitement of Slytherin going against Hufflepuff for the first game, and the teams had been training hard together in preparation of upcoming games. With students already reserving spots in the pitch stands, both Slytherin and Hufflepuff changed into proper gear and hit the field to warm up before the game. The announcer had arrived with most of the professors, as well as Madam Mooch to referee the game. Madam Pomfrey also had been invited incase any students were to injure themselves during the game. It was Slytherin's luck though, that they all had more advanced brooms than the players on Hufflepuff, thanks to Draco's mother.

It was thirty minutes later, and warm-ups had come to a end, and the game was about to start. Slytherin and Hufflepuff huddled into circles for a pre-match chant and prep-talks between the teams.

Coral gathered her team mates into a huddled circle.
"Alright, since we are out for Hufflepuff, we have to destroy them! I know we have this right under our left arms. WHO'S READY TO KICK SOME ASS?"

"I'M READY." Blaise yelled back.

"Oh that's all the team spirit I get? COME ON, I SAID WHO'S READY TO KICK SOME ASS?"

"WE ARE READY TO KICK SOME ARSE!" Yelled the rest of the team this time, and they continued with a chant that they had made up during practice.

"Slytherin, the powerful, the winners, the champions! Come for us Slytherin, and leave smothered with a loss!" They chanted together, obviously receiving offended looks from the nearby Hufflepuff players. "SLYTHERIN, WIN!" And with that, they had taken off into the air to begin the game.

The announcer Lee Jordan, had started up the game trying to wild up the audience. "All right. Introducing the Slytherin team.... Captain and Chaser, Coral WolfRose, Chasers Blaise Zabini and Phoenix Barlow, Beaters Vincent Crabbe and Gregory Goyle, Seeker Draco Malfoy, and lasty four years in a row Slytherin Keeper, Miles Bletchley." The seven just flew in place, waiting for the Hufflepuff team to be introduced and the theme subsequently announced.

"Introducing the Hufflepuff team... Captain and Seeker Cedric Diggory, Chasers Ernie Macmillan, Hannah Abott, Malcolm Preece, Beaters Anthony Rickett and Michael McManus, also keeper Shannon Mayheart." Lee Jordan said. "This match is bound to be leaving everyone on their toes."

Snape who was sitting in the stands, watched his house team carefully, even he knew that his own Slytherin's were known to cheat and abuse the rules in order to win. This year, he wasn't going to tolerate unfair play and he had warned several of the players that no foul play should occur during this season of quidditch. He was unsure of how this game would go due to his brutal Slytherins against the fair Hufflepuff and most certainly with beaters like Crabbe and Goyle now on the team.

"I'm closely watching Wolfrose and Malfoy, together on a team, that's just asking for foul play," Snape said under his breath. "Just like Malfoy to keep people anxious and worried about foul play, to think that he thinks the whole revolves around his abnormally blonde head."

Minerva, clearly fed up with Severus' berating the players, shot him a look of annoyance. "You are one to talk about abnormal, have you seen that nose of yours?"

Dumbledore cleared his throat obviously in an attempt to cool the heated argument that was about to take place between the two. "Now now, Minerva and Severus you two had better play nice. You wouldn't want to miss the beginning of what looks like a great match, would you?"

Both professors looked at the field just in time to catch both captains shaking hands. Cedric gripped Coral's hand a little longer than necessary before returning to his position. The quaffle, bludgers and Golden Snitch had been released and already Slytherin was in possession.
