"Ash?" Coral questioned in utter shock.

There he stood, Ash Riddle looking all new again. No scratches, bumps or anything that would give clues he'd just have been at St.Mungos for nearly two weeks. Ash was finally back. He paced foward, concern on his face. He eyeballed the open window, and the necklace that Draco had given her before in her hands. Coral's tear stained cheeks worried him.

"What happened?" Ash asked with concern.

Coral laughed full of embarrassment of how much of a mess she was. "You're asking me what happened! You just got out of St.Mungos and you're asking me what happened!" She questioned incredulously. "What about you? You're finally back!"

Ash nodded, still unsure of why Coral was crying. He took a stride over towards the open window, peeking at all of the stuff that was on the ground below it.
"What the hell happened while I was gone?"

Coral shook her head, falling into tears again, which turned into anger quickly.
"A blonde, Slytherin asshole is what happened." She groaned. "You came back at the worst time possible, no offense."

"Why is that?"

"There's currently one of the biggest wizarding parties in history going on at the Gemini house right now." She added, plopping onto the couch. "Draco got drunk, and I saw him coming out of a room without a shirt on, with another random girl."

"What?" Ash darkly questioned. "Malfoy actually had the nerve to cheat on you?"

Coral shrugged. "I mean, it was kind of expected. We haven't been getting along since we came back to school." She sighed, using a charm to clean her soggy face and shirt. "You know how Malfoy is, popularity and ego mean everything to him."

Ash's head titled. He wasn't understanding.
"I don't see the correlation between the two. You're Hogwarts most popular girl. Every guy wants you, every girl wants to be you, so why would he find you as a threat?"

"I think he wanted to be more popular than I was. Phoenix had told me he thinks he's jealous of the fame and attention I get. I told Phoenix that wasn't the case. He proved me wrong though. I think as soon as Draco started feeling like my shadow instead of my boyfriend, things quickly changed."

"That would make sense." Ash paused, sitting next to Coral on the couch. "The Malfoy's are known for wanting to be the spotlight. You're the spotlight though, and it seems like Draco couldn't handle the pressure of being second. I think that's completely ridiculous and immature for a sixteen, almost seventeen year old to be thinking like that."

Coral sighed, running her hand through her hair. "I shouldn't have expected any different, some people can change, but Malfoy will only change when it benefits him most."

Ash relaxed into the couch, the both of them were finding extreme comfort in each other's presence.
"Which is why Malfoy tolerates Hermione Granger now, just to be in your group."

"Exactly."

Ash bit his lip, trying hard not to smile that they had probably broken up, which meant Coral was single now. He had to try extra hard to compose himself. She was still sad, and probably heart broken. It wasn't the time to be selfish.
"That's pathetic. I just hope you're okay." He smiled, putting his arm around her for comfort. "I'm just glad to be back, and it looks like I came back at just the right time."

Coral felt fireworks oddly enough, from the contact between them. "I really missed you."

Ash looked at her in disbelief. "You did?" He questioned.

"Phoenix did too. He wouldn't stop going on about it."

They had caught each-others eyes, forgetting that there was a world around them. Coral always found herself getting lost in Ash Riddle's insanely colored eyes. They were both interrupted sto see the fireplace rise in green flames, with an unexpected person coming out of it.
