I cut all my hair off. On a scale of 1 to Ellen DeGeneres, do I look okay?

"Neely?" I heard a familiar voice call and immediately froze. This was not happening.

"Principal Malik!" Max exclaimed and I held a death grip on Harry's leg, praying he wouldn't turn around.

"Hello Max, I didn't know you'd be here with your family."

"A few friends came into town. Why don't we catch up with a cigar soon?"

"Absolutely. I'm terribly sorry to interrupt, I'll be seeing you Max."

"He's gone," Max whispered and I let out a sigh of relief.

"He always manages to pop up wherever I go," I chuckled awkwardly.

"I almost shit myself," Harry whispered and I couldn't help but chuckle.

"Same." Taking a large sip of my sangria, I took a deep breath and played with Harry's fingers as dinner conversation resumed. By the end of dinner, I was giggly and my hands seemed glued to Harry. The car ride home seemed to end too quickly and I smiled widely as Harry's hand held mine as we walked into the elevator.

"I have a question for you, baby cakes," I chuckled, the elevator doors finally opening.

"What is that love?" Gripping his hand softly as we walked toward the door, I heard my keys jingle.

"Are you sure you love me?" Unlocking the front door, we both walked inside and he tossed my keys on the table before closing the door behind him.

"Why are you asking?" he laughed nervously.

"Just want to know. I mean, I'm totally fucking crazy. Plus, I'll be 18 in 9 months. I mean, you're just older and I don't understand how you can love me. So, are you absolutely positively sure you love me?"

"What makes you think I'm unsure?"

"Just answer my question," I whined and we both began to laugh.

"Okay, okay," he sighed teasingly.

"You're about to give me a long ass story aren't you?"

"When I was younger, I used to think there was only one way to show love and if you didn't do it like that, it wasn't love. Flowers, chocolates, that kind of stuff was love. As I got older, I quickly learned that it wasn't what you got your boyfriend or girlfriend for Valentine's day, Christmas, or their birthday. Material things and only being nice on occasion wasn't love. It was all the little things," he smiled widely, almost looking like he was 12 again.

"I've learned that even when I'm not learning, I'm learning. There are so many things that go through my mind on a daily basis and at least 400 billion of the 401 billion things are about you. I smile just at the thought of your name and I don't think I'd make it through the day without you. So, yes, Neely. I'm absolutely positively sure that I love you."

-----------------------------

Christmas had come all too quickly and Harry and I had to be more secretive than ever before. Principal Malik and people we knew from school seemed to pop up everywhere at any given time. Getting gifts in the mail as well as my brothers coming into town, the apartment was full of laughter and gifts galore. Celebrating Oliva's birthday, Louis' came the very next day and it was quite the event. Last minute hustle and bustle to get shopping done, etc.

The entire day seemed hectic. People running in and out of the apartment, cooking, baking, gaming, it was a whirlwind. The apartment was finally quiet as naps were being taken and people were still out running errands for Louis' party. As I pulled the apple pie from the oven, I felt a pair of hands on my hips and smiled as Harry engulfed me in his arms.

"I haven't seen you all day," he sighed, swaying us slightly back and forth.

"I've been busting my ass trying to impress your mom and Louis," I laughed.

"They love you no matter what and I think Gem's taken a liking to one of your brothers. Edward, too." We both lightly chuckled and I turned to face him. Smiling at his shaggy hair and black button down, I let out a sigh.

"I'm sleepy and it's only 2:30."

"You're overwhelmed."

"No, I'm just a little frazzled. There's a difference."

"You need to relax."

"I can't relax until Louis' party is finally started," I cleared my throat. "Shit. I forgot the fucking cake." Opening the oven back up, I pulled the cake out and almost cried tears of joy that it wasn't burnt.

"Look at you, Betty Crocker," he teased with a wide grin.

"Neely?" Anne called from the living room.

"Yeah?" I laughed, walking out of the kitchen, Harry following behind.

"These officers would like to speak with you."
