"We've reached the entrance to the sea of monsters. All hands on deck!" Screeches the intercom.
We all get out of bed reluctantly and walk onto deck with Clarisse.
"We're here already? How'd we sail so fast?" I ask.
"I'm case you haven't noticed, this isn't a typical ship
"Is that what I think it is?" Asks Annabeth looking out to the sea.
"Are you nuts?" My brother asks.
"Scylla and her sister, Charybdis," says Clarisse.
"You heading straight for them! Why don't you just sail around them?" Asks my brother.
"They'll just follow me. If you want passage through the sea of monsters, you have to sail through them. Scylla is too high up for the cannons, but Charybdis just sits in the middle of that whirlwind. We're going to stream right at her and blow her to Tartarus. Ready the canons captain," says Clarisse
"This isn't going to work. Think you two can control the water and drive us through?" Asks Annabeth.
"Against something like that? No way," I say.
"Too much strain on the pistons. Not meant for deep water," says Tyson.
My brother doesn't seemed to worried until the ship starts to shake and tip.
"What's happening?" Asks Percy.
"We're in the vortex! Full reverse!" Says Clarisse.
"We're not reversing?! This is bad!" Says Percy.
"Boiler room overheating m'lady. She's going to blow," says a zombie.
"I can fix it!" Says Tyson running into boiler room.
"Tyson! No!" Says Percy.
"It's to dangerous!" I yell.
My brother tries to chase after him but I grab his wrist.
"Guns in range m'lady!" Says a zombie.
"Fire!" Yells Clarisse.
A echo loud noise ring out. We shoot the beasts leaving holes in its sides. It goes back under water.
"Looks like I scared her off," says Clarisse.
I hear a roar and see the beast and pushes us.
"She's pushing us towards Scylla!" I yell
"All ahead full! Stay away from this cliffs!" Yells Clarisse.
I hear loud clangs and screech's coming from the boiler room.
"We need to abandon the ship. She's tearing us apart. The boiler can't-" he stops
A burst of flames shoot out of a pipe on deck.
"Everyone below deck," my brother yells.
My brother and I wait to make sure everyone gets below deck. The snake thing reaches down and grabs my brother.
"Percy!" I yell in fear.
He quickly uncaps riptide and turns around stabbing it in its eye. It lets go of him and he plummets into the ocean.
