I was standing in the engine room watching Leo have a breakdown.

"WHY WON'T THIS ENGINE JUST WORK?" He yells.

"You need to take a break," I say.

"If I take a break we'll never actually make it to Athens," he says, "why are you here again?"

"Because I have nothing to do. All that's up there is couples and the couple that I usually hang out with is having a "date" and scouting," I say.

"Ok, that makes sense," he says.

So fir the next hour I basically sit and watch him work helping him whenever he needs me. It was great for an adhd demigod. But if I wasn't I would have just been watching two separate couple be happy and it just reminds me of what I'm missing.

Although I think my brother was my saving grace when he comes down stairs and says: "hey, guys. Gelato."

Leo and I go to the deck where the rest of the crew was enjoying their ice cream. Except frank, Mr. lactose intolerance has an apple.

Today was hot and windy. The sea glittered with chop. Curving off the starboard side was Mykonos.

"We saw these pelicans walking around," Percy reports, "like just going through shops, and stopping at bars."

"Monsters in disguise?" Hazel asks.

"No," Annabeth says laughing, "just regular old pelicans. They're like the towns mascots. And there's this little Italy section of town. That's why the gelato is so good."

"Europe is messed up," says Leo, "First we go to Rome for Spanish steps. Then we go to Greece for Italian ice cream."

I wanted to imagine that this was just a vacation. That I was just here with my friends and that the world was going to end. That thought just made miss Travis. But if he was here he would be in more danger than he already is.

"So, the island of Delos," says Piper setting down her cup of ice cream, "Artemis and Apollos home turf. Who's going?"

"Me," Leo says immediately.

We all stare at him.

"What?" He says, "I'm diplomatic and stuff. Plus Frank and Hazel volunteered to back me up!"

"We did?" Says Frank, "I mean.... Sure we did."

"Leo, did you have dream about this or something?" Asks Hazel.

"Yes," Leo blurts, "Well.... No. Not exactly. But... you have to trust me on this guys. I need to talk to Apollo and Artemis. I've got a idea I need to bounce off of them."

Annabeth frowns . She looks like she wants to object, but Jason speaks up.

"If Leo has and I sea we need to trust him," Jason says.

"Thanks man," Leo says with a smile.

"Word of advice," I say, "don't ask Apollo about his haikus"

"But isn't he the gif if poetry?" Asks Hazel.

"Just trust me."

"Got it," says Leo, "And guys, if they have a souvenir shop I'm totally bringing you back some Apollo and Artemis bobble heads."
