We sit down at a picnic table.

"This is the cabin area. Each building represents a Greek god. A place for their children to live when their at camp. You're what? Fifteen. You should get claimed soon. Gods are suppose to claim their kids by the age of thirteen. Tonight at the campfire we should get a sign," says Annabeth.

"They should have claimed you about two years ago," I grumble.

"She's not usually like this. With her twin brother missing and now finding out the gods aren't holding up their end of the agreement. Her and Percy gave up a lot for future half-bloods," annabeth says.

"A lot is an understatement," I say.

"Anyhow if my mom really is a goddess, I highly doubt she'll admit I'm her kid. I've been kicked out of five schools in the past five years. Dad is running out of places to send me," says Piper.

"Piper, we've all had trouble with school before. My brother and I got kicked out of six boarding school and my brother once exploded a school during orientation. He hadn't even started school yet," I tell her.

"What she's trying to say is we've all been labeled as troublemakers. We're impulsive and restless and most are diagnosed with ADHD. It's because we're hardwared for battle," Annabeth says.

"They're telltale traits. It's what monsters look for when hunting demigods. If not for protectors like Gleeson Hedge, most of us would be killed off before we reached claiming age. Satyrs like him help find demigods and bring them to camp, where they'll be safe," I tell her.

"I feel bad about coach hedge. He saved Leo and helped Jason to stand up to those... whatever they were," says Piper.

"Gleeson knew the risks. Satyrs don't have mortal souls. He'll probably be reincarnated as a tree or flower or something," says Annabeth.

"I have to say your taking this pretty well," I say.

"Shocker right? I guess I'm too worried about Jason. We've only been together a few weeks but really into each other you know," Piper says. Annabeth and I shoot each other nervous glances. I don't want to tell her, "I don't have to tell you. I can see how worried you two are about Percy."

"Piper about that I mean Percy and I are twins and-" I start.

"And Percy and I have know each other for years. We've spent summers together, we went in quests together. But...." Annabeth trails off.

"Look, I know Jason thinks he just appeared at school today but that's not true. I've known him for four months," Piper insists.

"It's the mist. It's a kind of veil that separates the mortal world from the magical world. Most blends reality, so that mortals can see things they can comprehend," I say.

"We've seen it lots of times. Mist can change memories or even create new ones, so everyone thinks they remember stuff that never happened. Monsters use it when the infiltrate school," says Annabeth.

"You know Jason isn't a monster! And my memories are so real. Like when we watched a meteor shower on the roof, and I finally got him to kiss me. You don't just make up stuff like that," Piper says.

"If you know him so well where's he from? Have you ever noticed the tattoo before today? What's his last name?" Asks Annabeth.

"Its... I'm sure.. I..." she stutters trying to think of it, "oh god."

He puts her face in her hands.

"It's okay. Jason is here now. Who knows, maybe this time it might work out with you guys. For real," I say putting my arm around her shoulders.

"Pheebs, are we doing sword practice or not?" I hear Conner ask.

I turn around to see him leaning on his sword.

"Right sorry. Girls I gotta bounce. Piper, I'm sure everything is going to be ok," I say.

I walk away from them and towards the arena with Conner.
