We all wait on the ship, watching Hazel to make sure she's ok.

"Hazel!" Nico calls down to her, "What's going on?"

"It's fine!" I hear her yell back, "Arion want to take me somewhere."

That wasn't alarming in any way. I hadn't got to have much interaction with Arion. He was fast and unpredictable. Sensing his mood, he's always confident of himself.

We all exchange nervous looks.

"Please tell me he's not taking you to that!" Leo yells pointing to some old ruins.

"I'll be okay!" She yells, "Just stay put and wait for me!"

"For how long?" I ask.

"What if you don't come back?" Nico asks.

"Don't worry I will!" She yells.

I see her take off towards the ruins. We all pacs uneasy waiting for any sight of here. We see her charging back at us. She climbs the ladder and we all greet her.

"What happened?" Leo asks.

Hazel's hand were shaking a bit. Her face was a mixture of confused and scared.

"Hazel?" Nico asks.

Her knees buckle and she falls forward with Leo and Nico catching her.

"I met Hecate," Hazel sputters.

She went on to tell us about a secret northern pass through the mountains and a detour the goddess had described to her that could take us to Eprius.

Nico takes hazels hand, "Hazel, you met Hecate at a crossroads?"

She nods her head.

"You don't understand. That.... That's something very few demigods survive. And if they go they're never the same. Are you sure-"
I try to start.

"I'm fine," she insists.

She didn't seem fine but I wasn't going to push her right now.

"What if Hecate is tricking us?" Leo asks, "what if this is a trap?"

Hazel shakes her head, "if it were a trap, I think she would have made the northern route more tempting. Believe me, she did not."

Leo pulls out his calculator. He mumbles about distance and plotting while typing things into it.

"You said something about baloney dwarfs?" Leo asks hazel.

"Dwarfs of Bologna," Hazel says, "They're suppose to have some treasure.... I don't know for our quest."

"Huh," Leo says, "I mean I'm all for treasure but..."

"It's our best bet," I say.

"We have to make up for lost time, travel as fast as we can. Percy and Annabeth's lives might depend on it," Nico says.

He looks at me. I nod to tell him I'm ok. Like I said everyone has been so touchy mention them lately, especially around me. Nico been better than most not as hesitant to say it. He know I just want to know the truth, even if it hurts like hell.

"Fast," Leo grins, "I can do fast."

He hurried to the controls and started messing with things. Nico and Hazel walk away to talk in private for a moment. I look down at the ground as we soar above. The Italian countryside was beautiful, I'll give it that.
