The sound of beeping filled your ears. Voices were heard all around and also shouting. You peeked through your stuff eyelids as your senses returned to you. A nice clean smell filled your nose and blurry lights shone into your eyes. A thin sheet laid over you and your arms were over top of it.

'A hospital.' You thought.

You blinked your eyes a few times and it all became clear. No one was in the room with you but there were people outside the room. People you knew. Your friends. The door opened and in walked Sherlock. His eyes were red and his hair was a tangled mess. You looked at him and smiled. He saw you and became a bit shocked but then it turned into happiness as he let out a sigh of relief. He rushed to your side and took your cold hand in his soft warm one.

"You're awake." He cried.

"Yah. I am." You said letting a few tears slip out.

He wiped them away, "There's no need for that. I've cried enough for the both of us." He said.

"Aww. You were crying because of me?" You asked covering your heart with your hand.

Sherlock then looked embarrassed. He then nodded and you smiled even bigger. You wrapped your arms around his neck and he rubbed your back.

"I love you, y/n." He said.

"I love you too." You whispered back.

He leaned in close to you and pressed his soft lips against yours. You smiled through the kiss and then the door opened. John walked in as the two of you broke away from each other. You both looked at him and you blushed.

"Hey y/n! I'm glad to see you awake." He said.

Sherlock gave him a look that said "bad timing" but John ignored it. You all sat there in an awkward silence. Then Lestrade came in and greeted you with a smile and a hug. Then more people piled into your small hospital room. Molly, Mrs. Hudson, Mycroft, to Sherlock's disliking. Everyone you knew seemed to be there. It made you feel so loved, but not as loved as Sherlock, the man who didn't have feelings at all, loving you.

Weeks later:

You were released from the hospital and walked out of your room. You walked outside and was met by Sherlock coming out of a cab. You then weren't expecting each other and bumped right into each other. You stood up quickly as did the detective. He realized that it was you and stepped aside for you to get into the cab. He got in after you and you drove back to 221B where John and Mrs. Hudson were waiting for you. For a long time after that, your life was good and happy as you and Sherlock were soon engaged to be married.
