Your watch beeped signifying that you were done. You sighed in relief and rushed out the door, grabbing your coat along the way. You felt your phone buzz and checked it as you walked, slowly. It was a number you didn't know but the text message answered that all.

'We're on our way to Baker Street.  Hope we won't keep you waiting. -SH'

You smiled and responded.

'I'll jut wait outside then.'

You put your phone back in your pocket and leaned against the wall. The wind whipped at your face as people passed by. You tried to avoid looking at them though cause once you looked t them, their thoughts flooded your head. Finally, a cab pulled up and out walked Sherlock Holmes and John Watson.

"Shall we?"  He asked.

"We shall."  You smiled and walked in with them.

They took you upstairs and each of them took a seat in their chairs. You grabbed one of the chairs at the table and sat down.

"This is where I sit, right?"  You asked.

Sherlock didn't answer you but just stared at you, obviously studying you. John cleared his throat, clearly annoyed by his friend.

"Uh, yes.  So, what's your name?"  He asked.

"My name is y/n y/l/n."  You answered.

"I'm-"

"John Hamish Watson."  You interrupted him.

John looked at you with shock and his mouth dropped open. "Are you sure you've never heard of us?"  He asked.

"Quite sure."  You said smiling. "The reason I know is difficult. I don't need anyone to tell me anything about themselves because once I look at them-"

"You know everything."  Sherlock interrupted you, for once.

"You understand?"  You asked.

"Oh yes.  I can do it as well, though I can't figure out their names by deducing."  He said.

"Deducing?  Is that what they're calling it?"

"Well yes. All you have to do is observe their manner of living."  Sherlock said.

"Hold on.  No, that's not my situation."  You said.

"Then give me a different explanation of your deducing."  He said, steepling his fingers under his chin.

"I don't know exactly how to explain it but-"

Sherlock stood up abruptly cutting you off. He paced back and forth in front of the fireplace but his eyes were studying you. You stared into his eyes and read all his thoughts. You felt tears stinging your eyes as you read everything he thought of you. You then stood up, grabbed your purse and started for the door. You almost opened the door but Sherlock pushed it closed again.

"Mr. Holmes."  You started.

"Where are you going?"  He asked.

"I don't want to stay here if you aren't going to take me seriously as a person."  You said.

"What do you mean?"  He asked, confusion written all over his face.

"You don't think of me as a person who has interested you. You think of me as a client who's interesting. I read it all."  You said and tried to open the door once again.

Sherlock pushed harder on the door, the same confused look plastered on his face.

"What do you mean 'read'?  I thought you said you didn't know of us."  John asked standing up.

You looked at the ground and sighed, "I read your thoughts, Mr. Holmes."  You said and looked him in the eye. "I guess that was a pretty good explanation that I could've given."  You added laughing.

"You really are different."  Sherlock mumbled.

His thoughts made you smile this time. You had finally impressed someone with your ability. All those years when you were a freak or a weirdo slipped out of your mind. You were now something different, in a good way. You knew that.

"I was always afraid to tell people what I could do when I was younger. They would teased me and stay as far away from me as possible. But that didn't stop all their thoughts from racing to my mind. Being different always seemed like such a horrible thing. But now...now I like it."  You explained. "Thank you for having me over, Sherlock.  And you too John."  You said.

You opened the door but once again, Sherlock slammed it shut. You stared at him wide eyed but smiled.

"Would you like to stay for tea?"  He asked.

"You didn't even have to ask."
