"Why did we have to take a boat!" Alvar cursed, his head over the side of the boat, hurling his guts. Mansi, his girlfriend, was patting his back and trying to hold back her laughter.

"You know why Alvar," Sophie said, looking through some papers.

"Have you figured anything out about your powers yet?" Nour asked, draped across some barrels basking in the hot sun. Sophie stared at her palm in thought. Ever since she started using her Froster, Shade, and Charger powers, her teleporting and inflicting have barely been working. She can scarcely teleport anyone anywhere now, much less herself.

"No. But I am going to visit another physician when we get home." Sophie said. Alvar lazily looked over from his side of the boat.

"Can you tell us what was in that note now?" Alvar asked, holding onto the railings for dear life. Sophie glanced around, looking at the crew members that were mopping the deck and throwing around ropes. Plus, Sophie was worried about telling Alvar that his family was in danger of an attack.

"Let's talk later tonight when you aren't hurling your guts out," Sophie said quietly. Alvar was about to argue, but they hit another wave and Alvar threw his head back over the railings and gagged. Nour let out a little chuckle, and Mansi glared at him, and then went back to comforting Alvar. Sophie continued back to her papers, which were her spy reports on the Elven cities. It didn't make sense, nothing in her detailed spy reports had anything to do with an attack.

"Is it really that bad?" Ruy asked, coming up from below deck. Sophie sighed and put her head in her hands, crumpling the papers.

"We will talk about it later, but right now it might be time to take a break," Ruy said, taking the papers out of her hands. Sophie sighed before nodding, tucking the papers into her desk. Sophie tried to relax on the deck with Ruy and Nour, but she was too anxious. She felt a slight breeze ruffle her hair, and the breeze directed her attention to the *crow's nest. Sophie got up and started to climb up the net, climbing higher and higher in the sky. Sophie pulled herself into the crow's nest, and she glanced around her surroundings.

The ocean sparkled like diamonds under the hot sun, cold splashes of water from breaking through the waves splashed on the sides of the wood. The breeze soared through Sophie's hair, slightly whistling in her ears. The sky welcomed Sophie, the color bright and welcoming, the wind cushioning Sophie in a warm blanket. Sophie felt like she was home in the air, she felt like she was free. She always assumes that it was the sky based Vatarian in her blood, Kynaraths power pumping through her blood. Sophie opened her arms and welcomed it like a warm hug. The sun was just starting to duck underneath the horizon, the sky turning shades of magenta, dark blue, and orange. Sophie lazily leaned against the crow's nest and relaxed, her eyes turning droopy. Sophie's mind slowed down as she thought of soothing memories tucked in the back of her mind.

Sophie thought about Lilac and her, sitting on the Grecian beaches and playing in the crystal waters. Or her and her father reading with one another in the *spire of the Guildhall. Sophie also thought about her laughing with her elven friends at Foxfire. Things were so simple back then, Sophie had a family to look after her, friends that she trusted, and didn't have to run a whole guild. The infinite amounts of money were also helpful, created a lot less stress. Sophie hit a rough spot in cash, she was having trouble paying for food to feed Lilac, much less herself. Only Maria has noticed, and she tried to lend Sophie money, but Sophie denied not wanting to mooch off her family members.
