Ok, I'm like sloppy tired and this chapter is stupid long (3,000 words) so sorry, not sorry about the spelling mistakes.
Biana POV
Biana watched nervously around the room as people conversed with one another. Tam and Keefe went to other sides of the Gala, trying to keep their eyes out. This wasn't any old Elag gala, the people here were stuck up, mousy, and dull. They all murmured amongst themselves, laughing at their snooty jokes, and judged everyone else. Biana would have given anything to be at these galas when she was little, but now they seemed so uncomfortable.
"Some party, huh?" A voice asked beside her. Biana turned her head, glancing at one of the most beautiful women she has ever seen. She had deeply tanned skin with a reddish earthy undertone; her brown hair sheened so dark it looked almost black. She had the most breathe taking cobalt eyes and wore a dark purple dress that accented her well-sculpted body. Biana spied a glittering jewel on her left hand, most likely indicating she is engaged. She looked only a tad older than Biana.
"Yeah, everyone here is quite-"
"Pompous?" The woman proposed her accent slightly changing the word.
"Pompous, yeah, that is one way to describe them." Biana laughed. The woman smiled and relaxed against the wall, observing the rows of people.
"I forgot to introduce myself. I'm Biana Vacker." Biana said, extending her hand.
"Vacker..." The woman said vaguely, almost like the name brought her joy.
"I'm Selena Morno; nice to meet you miss Vacker." Selena introduced, shaking Biana's hand. The two looked over everyone again.
"The elves seem quite, uh, bothered by this gala," Selena said, overlooking everyone.
"Well, the Council created this Gala to celebrate the return of my little sister. But they are also here to discuss the new figures that seem to be part of a new organization. They are worried they are hostile." Biana explained.
"Do you think they are hostile?" Selena asked.
"What?" Biana asked, confused.
"This new mystery organization, do you think they are hostile?" Selena asked, keeping her striking cobalt eyes trained on Biana. Biana looked down in thought, thinking out her words carefully.
"I don't know, to be honest," Biana admitted.
"Really? Why? Didn't they return your sister healthy and happy?" Selena asked nonchalantly.
"And I'm forever thankful, but if they are so good, then why don't they reveal themselves? They have been hiding in the shadows for so long, what are they afraid of?" Biana argued. Selena thought for a moment, her lower lip puckering out as she thought.
"I think they are afraid of all this," Selena said, gesturing around them.
"Of Galas?" Biana asked.
