The Crown Prince was anxious.

It had been four days since he had his talk with the young master who came back from being missing.

He was unsure of how to act.

He promised himself he would never get in Pier's way anymore but right now, calmness was not an option for him.

"Your Highness, is there a problem?" Elena asked as they both sat on the chairs placed in the royal garden's pavilion.

Asher shook his head as he took the cup and drank the remaining tea on it.

The skies were gloomy today as thick clouds roamed the skies. Though that did not stop Elena from having tea with the Crown Prince outside.

The maids all had worried expressions on their faces as they feared that the prince might catch a cold and get sick.

Of course, Asher was a healthy person. His immune system was better than most and his continuous trainings made his body capable in resisting the harsh environments.

"I have been hearing rumors that the young master is back" She spoke out of nowhere and Asher stopped midway.

"Who spoke such things?" Asher asked and Elena also had a curious expression on her face.

"Pardon but I do not also know the answer, your highness. It is a well known rumor amongst the social circles that when the reason why the Headmaster moved towards the Southern Walls was to welcome the young master" She explained.

Asher kept quiet as he had nothing to say.

It was indeed true that the Headmaster went towards the Southern Walls to greet Pier's return but he did not want to say anything especially it was Pier who had requested him to not tell everyone about it.

---

"Your Highness, Your Grace" The young master softly called to the two and Raphael who had been holding Pier's hands since earlier had a serious look on his face.

Asher who had been left out immediately after Raphael and Pier talked also got back in the conversation.

"What is it, Pier?" Raphael asked as he squeezed Pier's hand.

The young master stared at the young duke's hands but it seemed like Raphael had no intentions of letting it go.

"I shall retire to our territory now. I am tired and I want to rest" Pier spoke gently and Asher felt his heartstrings tug at the tone Pier was using.

It was a very tired voice and he felt bad for keeping the young master occupied when he could have allowed Pier to rest.

"I-Is that so? Then let me accompany you-"

"I am grateful for the offer but I wanted to return without any eyes upon me" Pier requested and the two also stopped.

There were thousands of knights and mages right inside the kingdom walls and once Pier got in, he would be seen by everyone.

"Then the young duke and I shall head in first, Pier. We will return the knights back to the palace" Asher spoke with a small smile on his face and Pier who was covered from head to toe with the cloak he was wearing laughed.

His face reddened when he heard the voice that he had come to long so much for the past months.

"That would be great, your highness. Thank you so much" Pier spoke as he hid his hands behind his back.

Even though his face was covered, the rest of his features that were displayed such as the porcelain skin on his lower face and his tall stature, Pier still looked attractive.
