Pier yawned as he entered his chambers.
He was tired after all of the thing he did and he wanted to just get in bed until he slept.
Doing so many things as a representative of their household took a huge toll on him and even though the phoenix living in his body was unresponsive for some time now, it was still eating away his magic power which allowed Pier to know that Melfar was still there.
The door creaked as Pier opened it and immediately, his eyes darted towards the still unconscious knight.
Gideon was still asleep and it was starting to worry him so much now.
Is this how Gideon felt when Pier slept all the time?
It could have been worse. Gideon was imprisoned and tortured while knowing his young master was unconscious.
It did not even help that Gideon probably blamed himself for everything.
Pier's chest tightened when he thought about it. He only had Gideon and Ciaran, no one else.
He did have a few companions but none really close to the two and seeing one of them unconscious while fighting death with only the string of his magic helping him survive, it made Pier frustrated.
He knew so many people in the span of more than half a year staying in this new world as Pier but he only acknowledged the knight and the vampire prince to be his closest friends.
Well, not the other because he was now Pier's...
'Boyfriend?' He flushed at the thought of the handsome vampire prince.
If everyone knew that the successor of a powerful household was in a relationship with a vampire prince, everything would turn upside down and be in chaos.
Of course, he did not care whether that happened.
He wanted Ciaran to decide if he wanted others to see their relationship. If he wants to, Pier would gladly accept that and leave the kingdom. If not, it would be fine with him and continue pretending to be Pier until Ciaran changes his mind.
'Relationships are respecting what your partner wants.' Pier thought as his gaze drifted towards the other bed that was near the window.
There, he found a small flickering light on the veranda.
Slowly, Pier started to get closer to the window. Each of his steps were silent as the surroundings.
'Hmmm?' His eyebrows raised when he saw that Ciaran was sitting on the veranda's floor while a small lamp was giving light to him.
The vampire prince was also holding a book while he leaned on the cemented railings.
"What are you doing, Fenrir?" Pier asked as he removed the coat of his suit and placed it on the bed. He then went to open the window fully and stare at Ciaran.
The prince had his eyes furrowed together while trying to concentrate on what he was reading.
"I'm reading a book." He responded without breaking attention from the material.
"I can see that, but what for? You don't have a hobby of reading." Pier spoke as he sat beside Ciaran on the veranda's floor.
He took a peek at the book and saw that it was the first book Hamiel wrote.
Ciaran did not respond and just continued reading quietly which confused Pier.
The prince would have asked him so many questions by now but Ciaran was instead focusing on what he read.
