"Are all the preparations done?" Asher asked the palace's head maid and she nodded her head quite nervously.

Nervous...

Everyone was on their feet for the past weeks.

Who wouldn't be? Today was the day. The day when the most anticipated person in the times of the war would return to their kingdom.

It was the day when the hero, the savior, and the saint will step foot in the kingdom once more.

The very savior who engulfed the entire capital within his flames to vanquish the impurities roaming on the land.

The saint who uplifted the kingdom's name once more as he defended from the armies that tried to invade Taron.

The hero that saved the nation from its demise.

"Everything has been set, your highness. All the decorations were properly and beautifully managed and even the food has been studied carefully to bring out its best taste," she spoke wherein Asher sighed in anxiousness.

"Thank you, you can go back now," he uttered and turned his back from her.

Overviewing the entire kingdom from his study, Asher clutched his golden sword that sparkled brilliantly under the warm sun that gave light to the people.

As the weeks passed by, he was never settled. His restlessness increased tenfold every day.

"How will our fates turn out, Pier?" He asked.

---

"You look handsome, brother!" Caleb pointed out as he was sitting on the bed and observing the swordmaster who was soothing the small crease on his suit.

Gideon was wearing a navy-blue three-piece suit accompanied by a white shirt underneath and a maroon necktie. The black cufflinks attached on the suit contained elegant black opal stones that gave a mysterious allure to the man.

"Thank you, Caleb," Gideon responded curtly as he took a deep inhale and a long exhale.

He observed his face.

His hair was pushed back and small strands seemed like they were out of place but Gideon did not bother putting them in place.

It was because Pier complimented his 'handsome look' that was comprised of the current state his hair was in.

Gideon's buff body looked dashing. He was fit in all the right places that would surely capture anyone's gaze towards him.

"Will you meet our family when you arrive at Taron, brother?" Caleb asked and the swordmaster nodded his head.

Of course, he needed to meet them. Afterall, they were his family. The family he had grown fond off as their household fell and they took him in.

He wanted to have them live in Mir where poverty does not exist. Where they would not struggle in finding their daily food and allowance for the month. Gideon wanted to repay, especially the old ladies that served as their mothers.

"I will meet them and bring them here. His majesty has already permitted me to do so," he smiled slightly at the thought.

There were many people surrounding Pier but only a few were close in his heart and Gideon was proud he was one of those.

What he prioritized are Pier's priorities too.

He wanted to have his family moved in Mir then Pier agreed without hesitation.

It might be dangerous considering a vast portion of the territory still remains unexplored but with the protection under the white-haired king, Gideon was assured it would all be good.
