Davina POV
It's been six years since CALAHAN and Tara's father died. The monere's are under Klaus and Tara Domain. After, Freya told us what she did to Elijah. None of us could reverse it. It was hard on all of us but mostly on Tara. She felt guilty and Klaus didn't like it. So, Klaus let Elijah rule over the monere's having him relocate all the monere's to the bayou with the wolves.

Elijah had established laws over the monere's like they couldn't go looking for their mate until age 18. Hayley and Jackson went in a treaty condemning no violence between the monere's. Since then the monere's and wolves have been harmonious. Including the witches and vampires. That all being because of Freya.

Freya is the leader of a council that views the entire supernatural existence. The faction of this council includes each supernatural being for no one to be biased to their own.

Me you ask. I have been desperately searching. The last six years I have been all over the world to different witch covenants learning their practices really anything that could help me bring back my Khol. Although Freya has aided with information she didn't say she had given up. However. I could tell.

Every night I would lay beside his dead body. Hoping that I would find a spell that would bring back his soul to me. To his body. Now in Paris. This was my last chance. I knocked on the thick metal door. The hallway was dimly lit with mold and dust. The creak sounded as the door opened slightly with me only seeing dark eyes.

"Hello," the person spoke. "My name is Davina. I spoke with someone over the phone who said they can help me" I gulped. I heard a sigh and the door opened. "Sorry, for the scare but there have been a lot of fleabags looking for us" the woman explained. She looked about forty and used a cane. I pushed in the wooden coffin passing by the many doors.

We turned the corner and I paused watching kids run past me. "So, we've heard from other chapters what you're trying to do. Khol Michaelson was someone dear to this coven. He saved our founder Glenda from the humans' manhunt" she revealed. "Really" I croaked. She nodded opening the door to the bright room.

The room looked like a mortuary with a metal table in the middle. "Move his body near the metal table" she ordered. I moved his body and then opened the casket. There laying still, cold was my Khol. The guy who made me laugh and helped me with my trust issues. Four women came in one holding herbs.

Each of them grabbed the corners of his body and pulled him onto the metal table. They all backed away giving me and their leader room. "Are you sure you want to do this? There is a reason why the other covents turn you away. They didn't want to do dark magic. A gifted witch like yourself could die. Bringing someone back is against nature" she informed.

My gaze hardened "and death is a part of nature. To be Reborn and that's what he shall be. He didn't deserve to die. I am willing to take that chance if it means he comes back. Being without him-" I cried holding his cheek. "Is not worth being alive. I would gladly join him if this doesn't work. I want to proceed" I stated. The woman shook her head and sighed. "So be it".

The leader grabbed a small knife and held out my hands. Another witch grabbed a bowl placing it under my hands The leader cut both my hands and I turned over my palms. Letting the blood drip into the bowl. Another woman rapped my hands while the leader took the bowl. She walked to Khol's body adding symbols in blood to his forehead and hands.

The women placed themselves in a circle and the leader grabbed my hand. "Repeat after me" she whispered. "hanc animam nobis perfect".
"hanc animam nobis perfect" I repeated. The other witches repeated and I started to feel a burning sensation. I hissed and the pain erupted more violently causing me to fall to my knees "Hold on" the leader pleaded. As the witches kept reciting the incantation pain grew worse until my vision blurred. I let go of the leader's hand passing out from the immense pain.

I opened my eyes to a dimly lit room. The nightstand is the only source of light. I took my attention off the nightstand hearing a sound from the other side of the room. "Khol" I whispered. The figure came into the light and I brimmed with tears. "Bloody hell, Darling. What did you do"?

"I saved you," I said with a shaky voice. He held me as I sobbed. He hugged me rubbing my back. "I watched you die. You were so cold. Now you're warm like the way you used to be" I smiled as he held both sides of my face. "I could hear every word. I watched everything you did for the last three years, Davina. I wanted to stop you. You put yourself in danger. I love you and it pained me to watch you" he warned.

"I'm sorry. I just couldn't -" he cut me off. He gripped my face kissing me passionately with longing. I pushed back gasping for air. "I love you too" I whispered.

Tara POV
Klaus and I? Let's just say we're doing more than great."Honey" Klaus called out. I groaned sitting in a rocking chair. "I'm in here Klaus". I flicked my hand making the book fly in the air and whisk itself into the air. I caught it just when the door opened. Klaus's eyes went wide and his jaw ticked. "You know you're not supposed to be using magic" Klaus frowned.

I pouted "It's fine". Klaus walked toward me getting on his knees. He rested his head on his belly."It's not good for the baby," he remarked.
