Thursday, July 4th (Leia's Perspective)
Mommy was already awake and I was ready to go into the pool and swim all day with Uncle Fin. Today's America's birthday and I don't know who she is but we're throwing a party for her!
"Hi, Mommy. Good Morning."
"Morning sweetness. Sleep well?"
"Yes." Bella was cutting some fruit and she gave me a piece. I love mangoes!
"What time is it Mommy?"
"It's 11 am."
"I was asleep for like a day!"
"Thanks for helping Bella. You can take a break now."
"Yes! I'm going to go shower and get ready for the party Mom."
"Morning Mom. Do you need help?"
"Yes actually. Can you go in the garage and get some of the coolers out and put them in the backyard."
"Of course."
"I wanna help! I wanna help!"
"Okay, you can help me by passing me the apples so I can start the apple pie."
"How many apples?"
"8 apples. Be careful honey."
"I will be very careful! Where is Elliot?"
"He's out buying breakfast. I know you're hungry."
"Yeah. I wanted oatmeal, but whatever Elliot brings will be good too! I hope he brings back melons!"
"Good morning you two beautiful ladies. Breakfast is served."
"What's this?"
"Sandwiches. Sausage egg and cheese, bacon egg and cheese. Oatmeal. You have choices baby." He gave me a kiss and I looked.
"Can I have oatmeal and only half of the sandwich until I know it tastes good?"
"Of course pumpkin."
"Elliot, I want another kiss. Right here." He gave me another and I giggled.
"You're my friend!"
"Aww, she's so sweet."

The Pool (Bella's Perspective)
Hannah came over and we were chilling. Basically just sitting at the end of the pool in our swimsuits, eating ice cream, and talking about life.
"Next week we're going to India. My first time there since I was adopted as a baby," she licked her come and I smiled.
"That sounds exciting."
"Yeah, not too much though."
"How come?"
"I actually feel sad about it."
"Why?" Hannah looked around and didn't answer.
"Wanna go upstairs away from all the noise and talk about it?"
"Yeah, that'd be better." We went upstairs to the room to talk in private. I wonder why she's so sad.
"What's wrong?"
"It feels weird going there, that's where I'm from, and I feel like while we're there I'll be treated differently. Like people will expect me to know the traditions and stuff. But I don't. I'm not Indian at all. And not only that, I don't even know who my real parents are. It just makes me sad." I have my best friend a hug as she cried.
"But Hannah, even though you were raised here you'll always be Indian. Just and American Indian. I think that when you go they'll be willing to help you learn about your culture."
"But what about my Mom and Dad."
"I don't know if you'll find them, but you should be happy to know that you tried."
"Thanks, Bella. You're the only one that gets it. If I talked about this with Kylie or Pais I don't think they'd get it. But you do. This is why you're one of my best friends." I have her a hug and tried to cheer her up.
"Let's not sit here and mope. There's chicken sandwiches downstairs. Your favorite."
"Really?!" She smiled and started to run back down.
"Hannah Banana."
"Hi, Dad."
"There's chicken sandwiches I saved you one."
"Thank you." I smiled from upstairs as Hannah ate. I don't like seeing my friends sad. I'm happy if Hannah's happy.

The Fireworks (Olivia's Perspective)
The fireworks on the 4th of July get to me every year. It reminds me of how much my family has changed in over a year. Leia sat in my lap with her popcorn and I gave her a quick squeeze as we looked up at the sky together.
"Mommy?"
"Yes, sweetheart."
"This is my favorite holiday."
"It's my favorite holiday too sweetheart."
"I like it when the fireworks pop and stuff Mommy."
"Me too."
"Mommy, do you promise that we'll always be friends?"
"Of course pumpkin pie."
"Pinky promise?" Little Leia held out her pinky and giggled.
"Pinky promise!" Bella came over and parked herself right next to me.
"Hi, honey."
"Hey, Mom." She recorded the fireworks and then sighed.
"Are you okay?"
"Yeah. Just thinking hard about something."
"About what?"
"Life. Every single Fourth of July is different in a way Mom. You know?"
"Funny thing is, I was thinking about the same thing. Our family is different every year." Elliot came over and I gave him a peck.
"Boys have cooties!"
"No, they don't Leia."
"You have a boyfriend!"
"I don't!" I eyed Bella suspiciously and she raised her arms in defense. I laughed it off and she just stared at me.
"You concern me when you laugh like that."
"And you concern me when you're up texting Brayden all night."
"I do not!"
"Yeah, you do!"
"How would you know?"
"I can see the light!"
"You sleep in the basement!" Bella gave Leia a hug and they started to play around.
"Bella, Where's Noah?"
"I don't know Mom. Probably swimming still."
"Alright, tell him I need to speak to him."
"Totally."

July 5th, (10 AM) (Noah's Perspective)
"I'm totally ready to go to the waterpark today," Bella said as she walked over to me.
"What's that?"
"Breakfast. I told Mom we'd eat it outside." She sat next to me on the hammock and she started to eat quietly.
"Thanks."
"No problem." Lately, Bella and I have been really cool. Not like we fight a lot or anything, to begin with but I feel like we understand each other a lot more. She's in middle school and we can relate to certain things.
"I hope next year I have a good schedule. Mines last year was great but I just want a better one."
"If it was so good what could possibly be wrong?"
"I don't know."
"Do you just want a different experience?"
"I guess so." She looked at the ground and I wondered why.
"You okay?"
"Totally, I just feel bored."
"Just watch some YouTube on your phone or something."
"That gets boring too."
"You don't have Instagram?"
"I'm not allowed to Noah."
"Just Because Mom says not to get it doesn't mean you have to listen."
"But I don't want to get in trouble."
"You're such a goody two-shoes."
"I know, I just like to stay on Mom's good side because I hate to argue with her and stuff."
"I get it. If you stay on her good side you get more privileges. But you live a boring life. It's okay little one." She laughed and then carried our plates inside.

Elliot Time (Leia's Perspective)
"El, I'm ready for lunch!" I held my kitty and he was getting rice.
"You're all ready in your kitty pajamas?"
"Because I want to be comfortable when I eat! And I want Ryan to eat with me. Ryan!" He ran over and I filled his bowl with food.
"You're a hungry boy! A hungry happy boy!" Eliot smiled and told me to come eat my lunch.
"Thank you, Elliot!"
"You're very welcome. Bella, lunch is ready!" She came into the kitchen and sat at the table quietly.
"Thanks."
"You sound tired, everything alright?"
"Yeah, I just feel really weak I don't know why." She sneezed and I looked at her.
"You can't get a cold when it's summer time!"
"You definitely can if you're stressed."
"I'm okay, don't worry about me."
"Bella you have a fever and your nose is red. Go upstairs and rest."
"You're too kind El. I'll be okay. Thanks for lunch."
"And when you're done with you lunch you have to go to bed and I'm going to give you medicine so you feel all better okay?!" I said to my sister.
"Okay baby Lei
