It was half past eight but also Saturday so not many people were up.
Maya on the other hand has been up for awhile now.
She doesn't know why but she couldn't sleep.
Something telling her she just had to get out of bed.
She was already dressed and ready for the day when Josh came out.

"Hey Gorgeous," Josh said as he sat down next to Maya.
"Hey you're up early," Maya said.
"Could say the same about you," Josh said and Maya looked out the window.

Cory and Topanga were still fighting about goodness knows what.
But Maya doesn't want to know.
She just knows it is bringing a lot back from when she was a child.
She closes her eyes and sees two young people in their early twenties fighting.
A little girl covering her ears cause she's been told to do that.
Running around and hearing a girl singing.

"Maya," Josh said and Maya opened her eyes.
"Yeah?"
"I don't mean to nag but are you okay?" Josh asked.
"Sounds like my parents," Maya said and pointed to where Cory and Topanga were standing.
"The lady who works here caused problems between them long ago. It almost destroyed them. Luckily Topanga didn't let it," Josh said smiling.
"I don't think you have to worry. They are going to be fine. In a few hours they would forgot they fought," Josh said.
"What your niece said yesterday as well. Just like then I don't believe it," Maya said and stood up.

Josh sigh as he went outside.
His brother and Topanga stopped when they saw him but could also see he is very angry.

"What you mad about?" Cory asked.
"You upsetting one of your students. Maya doesn't like it when you fight. It reminds her of her mother and father," Josh said.
"Oh gosh. We had her worried since yesterday then. We didn't realize. Maybe we got caught up in our own stuff we didn't notice," Topanga said.
"Lauren is fifteen years in the past. He chose you. Doesn't that matter? Topanga my brother chose you to spend the rest of his life with. Not Lauren," Josh said and he was gone.

A little later everyone had finish eating breakfast and was getting ready for the day.
It wasn't said what exactly was going to be done but a hike was thought of.
Maya said she wanted to sit this one out since she was a bit tired.

"You two should stay as far away from each other as possible," Cory said as he dragged Darby and Josh dragged Yogi.

Maya smiles at the reaction then Topanga comes.

"Hey. What did you do? It's sorry you didn't want to come along," Topanga said.
"I've just been sitting here," Maya said and Topanga left.

"You know you could have gotten yourself killed," Lucas said.
"Farkle needed saving," Riley said.
"That was a Maya move. Please tell her," Lucas said.
"She saved my life!" Farkle said.
"I'm out of here," Maya said and went outside.
"Nice job guys," Riley said and went after Maya.

"So what did you do?" Riley asked.
"I thought," Maya said.
"About?" Riley asks in a sweet voice before sitting down next to Maya.
"About me and Josh. What I had told you. Is it possible for me to love him?" Maya asked.
"Maybe. But only you know what you feel Maya. What do you feel?"
"When we talked in the car. It was like the world stood still and I just couldn't get enough. Feeling comfortable with him was one of the things I always wanted to do. When I saw him at school I was semi comfortable but now... I feel like I can tell him something with ease. Is that wrong? Feeling like I can trust him with my whole life," Maya said.
"Definitely not. First love does that. I feel that with Lucas," Riley said.
"This is going to be the first guy I trust since... Since my dad," Maya said.
"Go for it. Do what you want," Riley said.

It was late the afternoon and everyone was sitting in the lodge.
Riley and Lucas were talking about everything, Cory and Topanga were talking to Auggie over the phone while the rest had plans of their own.
Maya was sitting in a corner just playing guitar when Josh saw her.
He knew something that happened but didn't want to ask her directly.
But knew he had to talk to her as well.

"Didn't know you could play," Josh said and sat down next to Maya.
"A little," Maya said smiling.
"That's really good. Cory actually taught Topanga how to play the piano when they were young," Josh said.
"Really?" Maya asked.
"Yeah. Listen I saw how upset you were when they fought. You okay?"
"My parents fought a lot before my dad left. I don't want to lose people. Ten years later and I'm still scared about it. Talk about crazy," Maya said.
"It's not crazy. It's normal," Josh said.
"Glad you think so. I'm happy to see Riley and Lucas sorted their stuff out," Maya said.
"What about you sing something? You probably do sing if you play guitar," Josh said.
"Yeah I do. What do you want to hear?" Maya asked.
"Anything let's see what you've got," Josh said.
"Okay," Maya said.

She remembered a song she wrote awhile ago.
She starts playing with the chords and Riley recognizes the melody.

"Big lights.
People.
Rushing to grow up before you know.
Stop signs.
Denied.
Everyone tells me I gotta go slow.
And it's gonna hurt sometimes.
No matter what you do.
But nothing can change my mind.
If I'm too young to fall in love.
Why do you keep runnin' through my brain?
And if I'm too young to know anything.
Then why do I know that I'm just not the same?
Don't tell me I won't.
Don't tell me I can't feel.
What I'm feeling is real.
Cause I'm not too young.
Rain drops.
Deep thoughts.
Pictures of you and me wherever I go.
Laughing.
Running.
To a place where nobody says no.
And it's gonna hurt sometimes.
No matter what you do.
But I've got to fall to fly, yeah.
Cause I'm not too young no.
Ye-e-eah.
And if I'm too young to fall in love.
Why do you keep runnin' through my brain?
And if I'm too young to know anything.
Then why do I know that I'm just not the same?
Don't tell me I won't.
Don't tell me I can't feel.
What I'm feeling is real, yeah.
Cause I'm not too young.
Cause I'm not too young no.
Cause I'm not too young."

Josh looks at Maya knowing where she got the song.
He smiles at her and immediately Maya sees Riley.

"Very good. Not bad at all," Josh said.
"Thank you," Maya said as she brushed a strand of hair out of her eyes.
"Hey what you guys doing?" Riley asked.
"Maya is showing me her singing skills. I have to go find your father," Josh said and stood up.
"What was..."
"I don't know," Maya said.
