Chapter 44 - My Decision Is...

It was late the night and Maya was just laying in bed.
She couldn't sleep and so she lay down to just get a breathe.
Tomorrow is still school.
It's only Monday and she is exhausted.
Her computer rings and she sees it's the group number.
She quickly answers it before someone wakes up.

"Maya you there?"
"Riley quiet. What are you guys doing up at eleven?" Maya asked.
"Can say the same about you," Lucas said.
"Lucas don't play games. I've had enough of them today," Maya said.
"We wanted to apologize for our behavior," Farkle said.
"Riley, Smackle is this your handwork?" Maya asked.
"No," both of the girls said and Maya sigh.

She hears noises and is quiet.
She really doesn't want to get in trouble and she doesn't want to talk about this any longer as well.
But she has made her choice.

"Why you so quiet?"
"Isaiah Babineaux shut up. My parents are asleep and I'm also supposed to be. Listen. I can't talk now. But I've made my decision. My choice is to stop caring. You guys can really say what you want. There is going to be a million other opinions about me and I can't keep up with everything. You don't understand what is going on between me and Josh and you never will. I can't force you to understand. But I'm done fighting. I have to go. I'll talk to you guys tomorrow," Maya said and ended the call.

She switched off her main light as well as the lamp before going to bed.
She laid down covering herself deep into the blankets while she actually had no idea what to do.
She closed her eyes and instantly she fell asleep.
