It was around the the morning and Shawn also had to go to work.
Maya was sound asleep when she heard her phone ring.
She know it can't be Riley since she has class so she knows who it is.
"Josh. Don't you have a class?" Maya asked.
"I can ask you the same. Where are you?" Josh asked.
"At home. I'm sick," Maya said.
"Are you okay?" Josh asked.
"As for right now, yeah. But since last night I've been throwing up and had a fever of 125° so I barely slept and I'm still vomiting so my parents said I should stay at home. I'll call Riley later or I'll give your brother a text," Maya said.
"Okay. Listen I have to go to my next class. Hope you're feeling better soon."
"Bye," Maya said and threw the phone down on the bedside table.
She immediately had to run for the bathroom again.
She doesn't know what is going on and she doesn't know if she wants to know.
She hears her phone beep and immediately goes to it.
'Reminder - SICK'
Maya looks at it in confusion.
She has missed her period for around two and a half months.
She did have a unregular one so it wasn't that weird but what was weird is that she hasn't gotten it yet.
She quickly looks at her phone and then she realizes something.
She doesn't have a tummy bug.
Is it what she thinks it is or is it something entirely else?
