It was just a few days later and Maya was going through her closet. She didn't have a lot of really nice clothes and of course she didn't actually care but she did want to look nice for when she goes to Josh. A knock and then Shawn appears.
"Wow have a date?" Shawn asked. "Not actually," Maya lied not wanting anyone to know yet. "Me and Josh are going to do something but I do want to look nice. Weird. I've never actually cared what a guy thinks about how I look. Until Joshua Matthews came across my road. What do you think about this?" Maya asked. "Beautiful. Let me teach you something. Never let a guy see you only because he needs someone. And don't let them influence your decisions. Go as you," Shawn said. "Josh doesn't care what I look like. Besides we're just friends," Maya said. "Just remember what I said," Shawn said and left the room.
Maya looked at everything on her bed and took a breathe. Shawn was right. She shouldn't let Josh influence her. She sees what the time is and jumps through the shower. She pulls a pair of jeans, a shirt, a pair of boots and a jacket on. No make-up, no juwelry, she's going as she. She's going as Maya Hart and if that isn't enough he can go fly. She doesn't care anymore. She looks at the time and grabs her phone before going to the kitchen.

"Wow. You look like Maya. What made you change your mind?" Shawn asked. "Josh must except me for who I am. Finish and done," Maya said and a knock appears from the door. "Ah guessing I don't have to give it 'You hurt her, I'll hurt you' speech since you guys are just friends," Shawn said and Josh went in. "Funny Shawn. Hey Maya. Wow you look gorgeous," Josh said and gave Maya a hug. "Think I can wear sweatpants and a sweater then you'll say the same." "Probably. You ready?" Josh asked. "Yeah. Listen I'll be back before ten," Maya said. "Oh no tell your mother but I'll be gone way before nine. I just came to check up on you," Shawn said. "Let's go. I'll take care of her," Josh said. "See you tomorrow Shawn," Maya said and they were gone.
Josh took Maya to like a teenage club where they just ate dinner and talked. Maya looked absolutely beautiful and Josh couldn't actually take his eyes off her for a second.
"So how do you feel about this wedding? And don't say you don't know." "Excited. I can't believe my mom is getting married," Maya said. "Yeah. Sur eyou ate enough?" Josh asked. "Way too much actually," Maya said. "Did you suffer from anorexia or bulimia?" Josh asked and Maya's eyes widened. "Why?" Maya asked. "Because you barely eat anything. I have been wondering about that a lot," Josh said. "No. I didn't ever suffer from either," Maya said. "About you sing something?" Josh asked and Maya saw a stage. "Why not?" Maya said.
She went to the DJ and gave him directions. She grabbed a mic and then she went on stage.
"This song is about me and a friend of mine," Maya said looking at Josh.
Josh looked at Maya as he listens to the melody. It wasn't familiar so what can it possibly be?

The crowd including Josh goes crazy and Maya goes to sit down next to him.
"You really are amazing. How do you do it?" Josh asked. "I don't know. Maybe it just... I don't know. It just comes naturally to me." "You should be a singer because you really are amazing," Josh said. "Thanks," Maya said and Josh brushed a strand of hair out of her face.
Their eyes lock and Maya can't help but thinking what is next. She gives Josh a small smile and then he pulls close. Their lips crash and she can't get enough of the kiss.
