Chapter 111 - First Word

It was Saturday and in the Joshaya household Josh and Maya was just having some morning snuggles with Ruby.
The ten month finally did get over a lot of her problems since she was teething pretty bad but now it has seemed to get better.
Josh picked Ruby up and put her on his chest as it was unsure what she was going to do.
She usually eight screams or laughs but she was just looking at Maya who was laying next to Josh.

"That's strange. You okay, Honey?" Maya asked gently rubbing her back.
"Yeah, it is strange. She usually makes a sound but now she is dead quite. Maybe that is the ten month mark thing," Josh said.
"Maybe. Daddy playing with ya?" Maya asked as Ruby looked into Maya's blue eyes.
"Who's this, Ruby?" Josh asked.
"Mama."

Josh and Maya looked at each other as it seemed that it was their daughter's first word but neither could believe it.
Josh smiled at Maya as he looked at his daughter yet again.

"What did you say, Sweetie?" Josh asked.
"Mama," Ruby said and Maya gasped.
"Her first word," Maya said.
"Looks like we have a Mama's girl," Josh said as he gave Maya a kiss.
