Black stiletto heels click, click across the marble tiled floor creating an echo down the vast empty reception area; a tinkling noise like the background sounds in a Christmas movie coming from your handbag where your car keys are knocking onto your stainless steel silver coloured flask.
You smooth down the black knee length pencil skirt you'd chosen this morning, regretting it with every step. Checking three or more times that your pinstriped blouse is correctly tucked into the top of the skirt, there was no room for error today.
Snapping your head aggressively to the side at a wolf whistle coming from somewhere in the reception; "wow! Someone scrubs up well!" Your friend and work colleague Jisoo giggles grabbing all your attention.
"Stop it!" Your cheeks instantly blush, feeling like you've just looked over an open fire.
"Girl! It's a compliment" Jisoo smiles. You've been friends with her since the first day you walked into this reception, day one of the new job. That was three years ago and the time had flown by; the work was enjoyable, the hustle and bustle of a busy main reception of one of the biggest company buildings in Seoul.
The fact that you worked in an entertainment companies building and reception though didn't quite deliver what everything immediately thought it would; you remember your friends from university giggling with you like school girls about how amazing a job like that would be, how many times you'll get to see the bands signed under the company. How many times will the 'hot' band members walk through your reception or even better how many times would you have to speak to them if they need assistance or have to sign in on a daily basis?
Reality doesn't always work out the way you thing though and although you love the job to bits and the people you work with daily, you don't get to hang out or see the bands on a daily basis, in fact, you've only ever seen one member of the biggest group the company have on their books once, and he didn't even shoot you a glance as he was dashed through the reception area to a lift faster than you could've even looked up to see which one it was. The memory still makes you laugh with your old university friends when they ask which famous people you've met and you tell them none.
Okay so there was rules anyway; strict rules that were laid out on day one of the job, in fact before you'd even sat on a swivel chair in the reception you'd had to sign all sorts of paperwork.
No sharing of private information.
No talking of anything that is said or heard in the building outside of the building.
No talking to press or media of any kind.
No comments or opinions to be shared on any private social media accounts.
You remember it all so vividly the way the reception manager dropped a black inked pen down onto the contract in front of you and made sure you abided by all rules or it was instant dismissal.
You obeyed every single rule, never breaking trust or confidence once.
Which is why when another job within the company opened up two weeks ago your manager suggested that you'd be a great pick for it because you can be trusted with anything.
Your interested peeked dramatically when you were told the job opening was in a different department and was working alongside one of the bands in the company; to be one of the assistants that the company use for everything.
