After the two had finally wrapped up their little two hour lunch outing of just being in the presence of one another, with nothing but bundles of laughter bouncing off the café walls as the pair barely even registered anyone else sitting around them, they eventually reasoned that it was a good time to say their goodbyes.

Though, that took quite some time itself too, since both of them really did not want to leave the comforting atmosphere that the other brought whenever they spent time around each other, as if there was a blanket of protection guarding them from the outside world.

A blanket too addicting to take off.

So, this is why Hoseok hadn't let go of Yoongi yet, even after ten minutes of flat out hugging each other. Their warm vanilla and peachy aromas radiated off the other's body, coming pleasantly into contact with their noses as their close proximity hardly left them any room to breathe.

But were they complaining?

Not really.

And although Hoseok was the one to initiate the embrace, as he usually is, Yoongi didn't make any efforts in resisting him or expressing any wishes to part from it.

Because as much as he didn't want to show it, Hoseok saw right through his little act and gave him exactly what Yoongi really wanted.

As if the two had this telepathic mind-reading power, knowing precisely what the other wants, when they want it, and granting it the second the desire comes to mind, even without any verbal communication or subtle hints.

Because that's how soulmates work, as if the two were brought together by a red string lacing both of their fingers so they ended up being connected at all times. And even if one was across the entire globe, their red string of fate would eventually lead the pair to each other and unite them as one.

It was as if the universe just knew, that these two were meant for each other.

Despite how much common sense both Hoseok and Yoongi lacked about their feelings, the universe would come in clutch one day and whip a hammer at their heads bringing them back to reality.

"What day is it?" Hoseok mumbled, his head resting sleepily on Yoongi's shoulder as his fingers threaded through the elder's fluffy hair, sending tingles down Yoongi's back at the contact.

And no matter how much the two embraced, Yoongi just knew he'd never get used to it.

Which wasn't necessarily a bad thing.

"Umm Saturday?" Yoongi chuckled, shaking his head slightly at the younger's cluelessness and fading sense of reality.

"Oh, right," Hoseok yawned, only further melting into Yoongi's arms as if it was already hard to breathe with just how tightly the two were squeezed together, though Yoongi was somewhat thankful since it was quite cold outside with the hug acting as a source of heat.

"We're gonna freeze out here if we stay like this," Yoongi warned, except there was that lighthearted tone dancing along his voice, ensuring Hoseok that he didn't actually want to release from the hug but was just trying to fill the empty silence instead.

Which Hoseok registered immediately, of course.

"Don't care."

Me neither, Yoongi smiled to himself, slowly rocking back and forth on his heels as Hoseok swayed along with him.

And just like that, the two were once again in their own little bubble, not caring for the bustling city around them as strangers walked past, some sending judgmental stares and some not even sparing a glance as they were in their own little world as well, with earbuds plugged into their ears connected to their Spotify playlists that enough them a sense of euphoria.

The sound of cars rushing down the streets, zig zagging in all kinds of different directions didn't faze them one bit, the occasional angry honking entering in one ear and going out the other was barely registering as a mere and muffled white noise.

But the reason neither of them really took time to take in the surrounding life around them, was because they didn't need to.

All that mattered in that moment, was Jung Hoseok and Min Yoongi, not giving a single care for anything else going on in their busy and stress-inducing lives. Hugging one another acted as their therapy, pure bliss simply radiating off their bodies and spreading to every part of their souls and connecting them as one once again.

The dance competition didn't matter.

Yoongi's next basketball game didn't matter.

Lee Chul didn't matter.

Just them, in their own little world filled to the brim with nothing else but happiness from just being in the simple presence of one another, their hands innocently roaming each other's back sides and shoulders, or occasionally settling on combing through their healthy locks of hair.

No words were spoken, because frankly, no words needed to be at that moment.

Their body language was enough to satisfy the other's needs, or their casual hot breaths hitting the other's neck, whispering a language neither of them quite understood but at the same time, perfectly comprehend.

And though neither one could physically nor mentally see it, but both boys had wide smiles plastered on their faces as well as deep hues of pinks spreading across their cheeks and even to the tips of their ears.

And suddenly, Hoseok was happy that he had chosen Yoongi to send that text to all those hours ago, though really it felt like an eternity.

But at the same time, it seemed as if time had completely slipped from their fingers, each minute turning into a second as each hour turned into a minute, and with every tick of the clock the minute and second hands only sped up twice the amount.

Or maybe that was because the two barely even focused on whatever conversation had been filling the empty atmosphere above them, acting as a mere silence breaker when really, the real conversation was held in their hazelnut and honey-dew colored eyes, an unspoken language settling between them that they somehow apprehended almost fluently.

And as they gazed into each other's irises, the different shades of browns mixing together in combinations never even thought to be possible, the two admired the galaxies dancing in their eyes with a million twinkling stars casting the brightest lights in the whole entire universe.

It was too captivating not to stare at, and although the two would usually end up getting shy and look away with flushed expressions painting their faces, this time they weren't.

Frankly, they couldn't particularly care any less.

And just like that, a switch went off in both of their heads, a switch telling them instantly of that they both wanted.

The answer the two had been searching for desperately this entire time, digging around in their consciousness just ruthlessly begging for an answer as to not drive themselves completely insane.

And it only took a second of deep and intense eye contact to tell them, as if both of their secrets had been poured out to the world and each other without actually saying anything, a secret both used to want to deny so badly when first discovering these foreign feelings springing up inside them.

But now, they happily accepted the truth that took a painfully long time to deliver, and not an ounce of regret leaked through their bodies at the sudden lightbulbs going off inside their heads.

Holding one another in their arms only further confirmed it, contentment running through their veins as a newfound adrenaline piped in, the amount of pure excitement felt inside them almost too much to handle.

Yet, by transferring those rushes of energy into the hug, it all balanced out creating this overall feeling of exhilaration for the both of them.

An energy they never wanted to get rid of.
