Ten minutes until the competition started.

Fuck, Yoongi thought, sweat beading down his forehead as he impatiently checked their google maps every minute or so, as if glaring into his brother's phone would magically shorten down the arrival time.

Leaning back against the car seat, Yoongi closed his eyes and just prayed that they'd make it on time and still be able to get a ticket.

The sky was already turning a deep shade of indigo blue, the sun slowly dwindling down as the once golden streaks of sunlight glowing throughout the sky turned to ones of faint orange, casting long slender shadows across the paved sidewalks.

Geum-jae stole a quick glance at Yoongi, who was currently hyperventilating and bouncing his leg up and down against the floor of the car, eyes nervously darting back and forth between his phone and the car window's view.

"Yoongi, relax," Geum-jae chuckled, making Yoongi's head turn swiftly towards him at the sound of someone actually speaking to him and not just the quiet noises of wind whistling or the occasional chirp of a cardinal, "we're gonna make it on time, don't worry."

"How much longer?" Yoongi spoke up for the first time in fifteen minutes, his voice coming out as more as a strain than anything, as if it took nearly all his energy to muffle out those three words that formed into a very important question on his behalf.

"Five minutes."

Yoongi let out a sigh of relief, quickly pulling out his phone and texting the situation to everyone else in a group chat that wasn't apart of the dance team, just to let them know beforehand.
