Just in the span of a week, so many things had changed regarding the gym 'incident'.

Unfortunately, Chaeyoung did have to serve a detention since she slapped Chul in the face, much to everyone's dismay since she was just doing it to defend her friend. However, hearing the situation from all nine students, the office reasoned that Chul would serve a harsher punishment regardless since he provoked the entire thing, and that his punch actually hurt Jimin long term rather than just a simple slap in the face.

After making sure that Jimin was 100% okay and they spent time comforting him after Chul blew up and slapped him, his friends immediately reported it to the Dean's office, dragging Jimin along with them obviously so they'd have some sort of proof. Since the mark from him getting punched right in the jaw and the visible pain he was in was much too obvious not to believe (conveniently, the nurse's office was in the same department as the Dean's, so Jimin was able to get an ice pack as well).

Everyone was beyond pissed.

Sure, Chul was always annoying and rude to their basketball teammates and a few other people at the school, but Yoongi wouldn't even expect him to stoop so low as to actually hurting a fellow student.

Luckily, knowing Jimin's reputation of being one of their top students and generally a really sweet and honest person, the office believe him and contacted the basketball coach about the entire situation.

As a penalty, Chul would be suspended from the team for the rest of the season which only lasted for a couple more weeks anyways.

Although the team was losing a moderately good player and defense, everyone couldn't hide their suppressed ecstatic feelings regarding it.

Chul had treated them all like nothing but absolute garbage, by calling them nicknames or insulting them until their insecurities went blasting through the roof and even affecting their attention span or wariness during a game.

So of course, everyone was happy.

And they didn't even bother hiding it either.

However, Chul was anything but.

Sure, it made plenty of sense why he'd be livid about this sudden change of things, since basketball was his life and magnet for popularity.

That's what he was known for.

But now, that title was gone.

Not only that, but once the story about Chul hitting Jimin eventually spread around the entire school, and even to other grades other than the junior class, no one even made efforts to converse with him.

Perhaps not everyone knew who Jimin was, or even aware that he existed since the public school they attended was moderately large in size. But the fact that someone thought to be kind and charismatic as Lee Chul hit another student for no reason at all was ridiculous to them.

Not only that, but Jimin's name and legacy went around as well, with news of his sweet as honey personality and overall outgoing character traits reaching everyone's ears at some point within a week of the incident.

It was probably the most satisfying thing to watch unfold.

Chul was finally getting what he deserved.
