Chapter ninety five: The Pickup

Monte looked to the street seeing Aiden's body, the rain washing the blood away to the drains and turned looking to Connor seeing him shaking slightly ''Hey, we're almost out of this.'' Connor looked at him and nodded looking down, Monte looked around assuming those people would still be around waiting for them. Monte tunred to him ''Ok, we're gonna run over and get to where she is, or, was.'' Monte explained and looked back around the corner seeing one of the guy's and turned back ''I wan't you to watch your surroundings, they might not attack until we get to her.'' Connor listened then nodded understanding. Monte looked around the corner and looked to where he think's Emma was based on what Connor explained, he then saw movement inside the store and saw her red hair, he couldn't tell what she was trying to do, to him it looked like she was looking outside trying not to be seen.

Connor saw and looked down the street before seeing Aiden's body before looking to the store seeing Emma ''Just look over here.'' Connor muttered, Monte looked to him then looked down the street the other way seeing a couple of walkers, he looked back down that way ''Stay here.'' he stated and went down the alley, Connor moved to the wall looking over to Emma in the store ''Come on.'' he looked at her waiting for her to turn around and look at him, he turned and looked down the alley noticing that Monte didn't come back right away and looked down the street seeing walkers ''What are you doing?'' he muttered and turned looking at the people. Monte looked around grabbing a pan in the building he went inside and grabbed a wooden spoon and went out to the street before hitting the wooden spoon to the pan, Connor turned hearing the noise and looked down the street at the people, Emma finally turned hearing the noise and saw Connor but noticed he was hidding, she looked out the window straight and ducked down as the people got closer so she saw them.

Connor moved behind the wall and looked down the way where the noise was coming from ''What are you doing?'' Connor questioned again before looking to the side seeing the guy's and ran down the alley going into a small cubby spot as one looked down the alley way, they turned and started walking that way, Connor held his knife infront of his chest holding it tighter before hearing someone honking a horn, he peeked seeing the guy turned around, Connor thought about what Evin taught him, about hesitation on kill's, he hid again as he walked away and breathed out calming down. Monte turned seeing Evin turn the car around the corner and drive straight towards him, he tossed the pan and spoon to the side seeing he got enough walkers and went to the ran getting inside, he put his bag to his leg's before bringing his ritfle around ''It's Connor.'' he stated and looked to Evin who smiled driving ahead around the walkers and turned the corner, Monte pulled himself out of the window and aimed his ritfle shooting the people as they walked towards them.

Connor turned around the cubby and went to the edge peeking seeing the car with Monte leaning out of it and smiled seeing Evin behind the wheel. He hid as they got closer, Monte looked at Connor as he ran over getting in the back seeing the kids ''If there's no room Alex can scoot over.'' Evin stated, Monte shook his head ''One more, that store.'' Evin saw the body of Aiden laying on the ground outside it and drove over, he stopped on the sidewalk and Emma ran out looking at them seeing Evin and Monte before going to the back and got in seeing Alex, the twins and Connor. Once she was inside Evin started driving getting them out of the area heading back towards the highway to get through the town.
