THE RETURN to alexandria was hard. everyone looked on for good news, but there wasn't any to give; they'd been defeated and horribly.

glenn was rosaline's best friend alongside maggie. abraham had quite an okay friendship with her. daryl was her fiancé, and now going to be her husband. this had destroyed her beyond belief.

upon her arrival, the first thing rosaline had done was grab a knife similar to her kukri and go up to one of the trees in alexandria. the young woman stood there, throwing it over and over all day. she didn't rest, she didn't do anything but throw that knife. not until she was satisfied.

her muscles ached, her breath was ragged and she was pale. ever so often the same black dots clouded her vision but she forced herself to stand. if she fell that meant she was giving in - that was not an option.

not when daryl was under negan.

carl, michonne and even rick had come to ask her to go rest or eat. all rhaegar could do was sit at the side and watch her work, and work.

no one could get her away.

aside from throwing her knife, she'd work out despite the advice given to her. she knew she was doing herself more harm than good, but she didn't care. her bow had been taken.

with time, her figure got slimmer and slimmer. in a short amount of time, probably due to her illness too. rosaline looked withered away. some people didn't recognize her - her usually tan skin had paled horribly.

she looked worse than maggie did the night they had to bring her through the block out of saviors.

the one thing on her mind was her fiancé and the treatment he was going through.

the things that daryl had to deal with during his imprisonment were the worst. he was being fed dog food, wore old matted dirty clothes, and was being made to listen to an awful tune over and over.

all he could think about how much he was wanted to be with rosaline again.

the girl slept alone with rhaegar in the bed, missing his presence so much. she was more than sad - she was grief-stricken. her best friends were gone, so was carol.

carl tried to talk to her as much as she could, but she didn't say much. her meals were minimal if she ate anything at all. her welfare was decreasing as the days went on.

she was becoming a dead girl walking.

the only thing keeping her up on her feet was the hope that one day daryl would escape. rosaline didn't sleep - not since they took daryl.
