A SHRIEK jolted rosaline to her senses, it sounded like magna from a distance. she and daryl, as well as carol, scrambled to their feet in pursuit of the noise. the brunette instructed her dog to keep close but no attacking. everyone immediately followed.

"rosa, back to back with me." her husband grunted as they arrived around the corner, seeing the woman struggle against one of the skin people. just then another lept in front of daryl, a hammer in hand, swinging at them carelessly.

the marksman jumped back, dropping the torch he held onto, fishing out his combat knife in retaliation. rosaline joined the action, helping him out as another man tried to ambush them. connie had managed to pick one man off that was rushing towards the pair.

"is that it?" rosaline implored, looking around frantically, checking to see if rhaegar was still with her.

daryl nodded quickly, starting to pick out a route for them to escape to, "yeah. let's go."

the mute woman passed him back the torch, singing that they needed to stick together. kelly of course had to translate, "if we don't follow each other in the dark, we're gonna get split up."

"she's right. we stick together." carol agreed.

"at least we know there's a way out now." aaron commented, gazing around to find any possible ways to escape to.

"but where?" rosa added, clutching the german shepherd below her tightly.

jerry seemed to have an idea as he pointed in the other direction, "i think they went this way."

"you see where they went?" daryl questioned, shining light to where he'd pointed out.

"not exactly," he murmured, glancing to an arrow engraved into the wall, "i know a road sign when i see one."

"points to the exit." rosaline figured, everyone starting to follow the path marked out.

the marksman glanced behind him, nudging his wife closer to him, "come on."

after veering through several twists and turns, the group managed to find a passage, daryl being the first one to squeeze through to check it out if that could be their exit. everyone else waited covering him and watching out for the skin-wearers. rosaline could subtly notice carol getting more and more claustrophobic.

connie's attention had been peaked at this, but rosaline focused on daryl who'd told them that this was the exit they'd been looking for. she wanted to be home for her daughter. carefully, the woman began to squeeze through after him, rhaegar having no problem slipping through the slit in the wall while others seemed to be having some difficulties.
